Job Description

Ensure that the company policies regarding vehicle maintenance, accident prevention, fuel efficiency, and other driving practices are followed.

Ensure drivers adhere to the company’s grooming and appearance policy such as dress code compliance, personal hygiene etc.

Ensure the document of the vehicles are up to date.

Maintain safety standards for drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.

Use map applications to assign routes to drivers based on traffic patterns, customer needs, and other factors.

Ensure drivers have valid Drivers' and Lagos State Drivers' Institute (LASDRI) licenses.

Communicate accurate information to the drivers about their routes.

Conduct regular (daily/weekly/monthly) safety inspections of ICSL vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.

Track the company’s vehicles using a tracker.

Review safety reports to identify opportunities for improvement.

Train new drivers on safety procedures and company policies.

Send daily/weekly/monthly reports to the line manager.

Check and verify the status of a vehicle after each repair and maintenance.

Maintain weekend and public holiday roster for the drivers.

Drive when necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must have a valid Lagos State Drivers' Institute (LASDRI) license.

At least 7 years of driving experience, and at least 2 years as a fleet supervisor.

High-level interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships both internally and externally.

Adequate knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.

Ability to use map and tracking applications.

Good time management and initiative.

Good communication (verbal and written) skills.

Excellent knowledge of Lagos State road networks.
