Work is nearing completion on both the airport terminal building, Apron, taxiway, carport and the MRO

The smart airport is expected to be completed before may 29th 2023

This terminal building will have 5 avio bridges, and is expected to enable the domestic and international travels, ibom air has announced its plans to commence flights to 7 african countries.
The Terminal building is designed to make this dream come true.

Yet one Bubu in Aso Rock gave Wike an award for building cross-over bridges. It is one thing to spend money to buy awards it is another thing to leave a legacy.
If any of these govs, Udom, Umahi, Sanwo Olu, or Gandolla didn't get that award I wonder how wike got it.

In a true federation, any state wishing to operate international flights from its airport should be allowed to do so, insofar as the airport can attract the necessary international airlines and traffic! This is why aviation should be in the concurrent list!

MRO hanger ready for Aircraft maintenance, ibom air to maintain all its Aircraft here. The 5 bombardier crj 900 and 10 Airbus A220 will be maintained here.
Ibom air is the Anchor client. Other airlines are welcome to do maintenance here too.

I like the continuity of this project. Attah conceived & started it. Akpabio took over the leader baton and finished the first phase, landed the first aircraft. Udom came on board built on existing infrastructure started IbomAir (one of the best currently in Nigeria) worked on phase 2 of the project.
I hope the next government will not abandon the pride of Akwa Ibom people.
