Is there in any way a connection b/w the hacking the the ongoing presidential media chat?

Just wondering. . .

How does one obtain the skill set for web design/development? Isn't it through western education? If so, then boko haram is a legitimate suspect cheesy

I thought GEJ had some kind of chit chat on TV yesterday. I say "thought" because twitter was ablaze with various criticisms of some of the answers GEJ was giving. It was after I got quite a few that I decided to ask that question. Maybe it was a message from the hackers that they don't appreciate his governance.

Interesting observation of nigeria.gov.ng, now that it is back up:

So I am poking around, in search of ideas for: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-759968.0.html

I then click on "news" and I notice that the layout has changed and in fact looks much better. I then look at the logo and notice, "nigeriafirst.org", I then say "okay, wen that one happen now" and look at the url and notice: http://www.statehouse.gov.ng/ . To make matters even more "interesting", www.nigeriafirst.org actually exists and has the same content as the state house site, and no, neither redirects to the other.

Now I am totally perplexed but that is by the way. My questions:

1) How many of you are aware of http://www.statehouse.gov.ng/
2) How many of you are aware of nigeriafirst.org
3) What in the world is happening to our dear country's online presence? smiley

If you look at the source of both, the actual files are under nigeriafirst.org, so it is the main domain for the website, they eventually redirect statehouse.gov.ng to nigeriafirst.org without you knowing using "Masked Forwarding".

Firstly, Nigeria is insecure in all what they engage in, they never thought about security. Thank God that all vital information concerning the country are not online.

Why is it that, if a web developer is given a job to do, he can't find a graphic designer to assist him.
Just look at the whole of Nigeria official sites, graphics are nothing to talk about, typography is non-sense, color is even worst.
Why?

auwal,

I am well aware of that. My point wasn't that but why we would be doing that. Totally unnecessary

oh ok, I think they registered the .gov.ng after they must have finished working under the .com domain, so the webmaster might just be lazy to transfer/copy everything under the .gov.ng

Another thing I am skeptical about, must companies (especially bank) doesn't trust the .ng domains, I think there should be just domains like access.com.ng, gtb.com.ng, fcmb.com.ng, scb.com.ng, etc, instead of those long names used for the .com.
