The Kaduna State Governor in a state broadcast on Thursday claimed the old N1,000 and N500 are still legal tenders in the state, faulting President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive to re-introduce just the old N200 banknote as part of measures to curb the cash crunch in the country. The Governor has the right to defend his territories. What is treason? It is the crime of betraying one's country, especially by attempting to kill or overthrow the sovereign or government. In this presence situation, the governor is still loyal to the party but disagree constitutionally by law on the issue of spending the old notes pari passu with the new notes, the governor is constitutionally right to speak against the present government as regards the naira notes swap policy. 1 Like |
