The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Dogara Ahmed, has cautioned corps members participating in the forthcoming general elections scheduled for Saturday not to receive gifts or food from anyone.



He revealed that more than 200,000 corps members have been deployed as ad-hoc staff and trained by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).



Ahmed made this statement while addressing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday on the NYSC’s readiness for the polls. He emphasized that corps members must be cautious in their surroundings and avoid receiving gifts from politicians or anyone else. Instead, they should carry their service support, as no form of gratification or gift should be accepted.
