My friend happens to be a corps member and is one of the presiding officers (P.O.) in this upcoming election.
He stated that during his three (3) days of training, the supervisory presiding officer (S.P.O.) in charge of the training mentioned that "any citizen that applied for a transfer and the application was successful, but they weren't giving their PVC due to one situation or another should not be disturbed as there is still a way out for them if they have their old or former PVC." He went forward to advise all presiding officers to allow any of the above victims to carry out their civic responsibility, which is to vote, provided that they have a PVC, whether old or new, as a means of identification. stating that the bimodal verification and accreditation system (BVAS) will account for all the registered voters in whichever polling unit they find themselves in will be made available on that machine.
In conclusion, if you applied for a transfer and it was successful but you weren't issued your PVC, don't panic, as your old PVC will be accepted at your new polling unit.
