The Kogi State Government, on Thursday, clarified the excavation of some roads in Kogi Central, saying it is a deliberate security measure to cut off traffic on those roads with a view to restricting the use of the roads by criminals who had been breaching the peace of the area with attendant loss of lives and property. I am never ceased to be amazed by the idiocy and half-a$$ measures being adopted by the government in trying to solve a simple task. Am I missing something here? How can a government resort to destroying a limited number of the roads available, which are already dilapidated, as a means to solve insecurity? It seems like the government derives pleasure in making the lives of its citizens more difficult and unbearable. 2 Likes |
