The former First Lady of Anambra State Ebelechukwu Obiano was defeated in last Saturday’s elections for Anambra North Senatorial District by the candidate of the Labour Party , Tony Nwoye.
Mrs Obiano ran under APGA, (All Progressives Grand Alliance), the ruling party in Anambra State.

She lost in all the seven local government areas of Anambra North Senatorial zone namely Onitsha North, Onitsha South, OYI, Ogboru, Anambra East, Anambra West and Ayamelum, despite the fact that her husband, the immediate past governor of the state Chief Willie Obiano had carried out a vigorous campaign for her, accompanying her on all her campaign rallies including generating prayer sessions at Anambra’s major markets to convince the voters of the need to send her to the Red Chambers.

She lost in her own local Government of Oyi, as well as her husband’s local government of Anambra East.
Ebelechukwu Obiano is best remembered for becoming the only First Lady in the history of Nigeria to have received what has now been termed a ‘Valedictory Slap’ at her husband, the governor’s day of handing over the reins of power to his successor.

What a pity. Now she can return to her real calling of peddling synthetic blond sponge wigs and fake Gucci sunglasses.

What else was she expecting ?
Anambrarians are not fools .

APGA is known for selling their ticket to d highest bidder. D husband the former governor bought this ticket for the woman.

Honestly, I'm not happy that Nwoye won that seat, Labour party had better options in Anambra north like Oseloka Obaze, I don't know why they gave the ticket to Nwoye. As for Osodieme abi osodietipia, soludo should wise up, he doesn't owe akpokue and his wife anything, he should stop wasting the good will APGA has by bringing out abominable candidates. Akpokue didn't make him governor, Anambra people did.

Excuse me but Tony Nwoye is more gentleman and behave more better than Ebelechukwu Obiano so he I think he is better to be there than this uncultured woman who even slap her own husband when she like.
