Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has won the presidential election in Lagos state.

He defeated Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard bearer, after the votes were calculated from all the 20 LGAs in the state.

Tinubu is a former Lagos governor and the state is historically his stronghold.APC: 572, 606

This is how far you can go to use Lagos to console your loss. So far Tinubu has won presidential election with wide margin that is difficult to bridge, people will not want to vote for another governor in Lagos and obi will not be getting support he got now from afenifere, obasanjo, some Yoruba artists and some supporters that made it happen in Lagos all the times.

It will only affect Igbo more in Lagos because Tinubu is the same person that called them to benefit from political resources in Lagos. Future PDP and APC party may stop giving them such opportunity because of abuse and arrogance. However, obi can't match the gap since he is leading obi with more than 2 million gap at moment

Lagos is a Yoruba land by roots and origin.
And most Yoruba voted for Obi because he was the best candidate for president.

If There is any instance or possibility of any alliance, it would be the minor, unpopular party in Lagos like PDP joining LP and adopting the LP Candidate Gbadabor as their main governorship candidate.
But the overblown and overbloated ego and delusion of grandeur of some PDP state and federal members would prefer their lonely and hideous path to failure than associating with the triumph LP depicts.

He has met all conditions of winning in 2/3 of Nigeria states (24), he has majority vote count and he has met 25% in FCT. He won in more than 24 states combines. However, maximum states obi can win are 18 states in terms of meeting 25%, so obi never beat cut off. He won't get admission to Aso rock.

That is not loss because he has at least 25% in them so it is a win for. The two are counted among 24 states minimum requirement he must meet which he even has more than law required. Difference in Osun is not even up to 10k votes, Tinubu is also enjoying maximum vote count so far and meet 25% in FCT. However, obi is out of the race already because maximum states possible spread he can meet is 18 out of 24 states required by law. So, console yourself, he can't find six states because south west and north west locked him out except in Lagos he won.
