PROGRESSIVES E-GROUP TACKLES OBASANJO

An online wing of All Progressive Congress in Osun State, Progressives e-group has vowed to protect the mandate freely given to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by the good people of Nigeria through the just concluded Presidential election in the country. The group cautioned former President Obasanjo not to be the clog in the wheel of democratic progress and development in the country.

The group stated this in a statement released by the Coordinator of the Group - Taoheed Ademola Omoomi in Osogbo on Tuesday. The group affirmed that, they are ready to mobilise millions of Nigeria youth in order to defend the mandate of Tinubu as called by Chief Obasanjo for the cancellation of ongoing collation of Presidential election as both gratuitous and ignominious in nature.

"We condemn in strongest terms, the call by former President Olusegun Obasanjo for the suspension of the ongoing votes collation, which has been adjudged as one of the best in recent times in our political history. The call is not only insulting, it is ridiculous considering the fact that it is coming from a man that once declared an election as a do or die affair in this country".

While Chief Obasanjo supervised the worst election in the history of Nigeria, President Buhari has been able to change that ugly past, which has earned Nigeria respect among the commity of nations.

The group urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to order securities agencies in the country to put Chief Obasanjo on security watch list as he is a man capable of doing the worst in order to achieve his motive. While the group commended the INEC for a job well done thus far, it advised the Commission to conclude the process of collation and announce the winner on time in order to reduce the tension in the country. The statement concluded.

The Mandate here is "democracy" and work for the people.

This same Obasanjo kind of betrayed Mko Abiola. Obasanjo initially supported Abiola in the struggle to reclaim his mandate. Obasanjo had urged Babangida to relinquish power and stop dawdling on the transition programme. He said, "Annulment or no annulment, Babangida must leave by August 27. He made the promise, he has to keep it." However, this same Obasanjo would later become a renegade of the June 12 struggle by saying "Abiola is not the messiah".

After all this, Obasanjo later become the chief beneficiary of the democracy Abiola paid the supreme price for when he was sworn in on May 29, 1999, as the president of Nigeria. He kept mum on the issue of June 12 throughout his tenure. That's the Mandate my son. How old are you again?πŸ€”

Very brilliant write-up!

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be declared winner of the 2023 election, and no person born out of a woman can stop that!

PDP is ahead of LP, but they have no problem with PDP. Their hate won’t make them claim that PDP rigged!

Just look at the πŸ·πŸ–πŸ½πŸ—, they cannot even manage defeat! All becoming online nuisances.

This is pure open daylight robbery

The youths are coming for them

It will happen so fast that they will not be able to escape

Massive Nationwide riots loading

Just wait for INEC to announce the results

220,000,000 people and how many soldiers do we have in the arm forces less than 5,000,000.

The security forces can NEVER crush over 220,000,000 Nigerians

Let that sink

This last development from Obasanjo shows how Devil he is. What do you expect to be the outcome of your decision if it was granted. You have a candidate that lost an election the next thing you can do is to create unrest , panicking and cancellation of that election. Baba you are not good to Nigeria . Whoever becomes the president will go one day but Nigeria will remain. You want to destroy our democracy just because someone you don't like who can not use more than 4 or 8 year becomes the president .

It gladdens my heart that we still have right thinking progressive Yorubas with dignity and loyalty to the Yoruba race..

Obasanjo won't do with Tinubu what he and his crionies did to M.K.O Abiola.. He won't force Obi that lost election on us. It will never happen.

Anyone telling you this is deceiving you.

We already fought bloody wars on this issue before but latter agreed we are one. In fact, we signed a peace agreement to that effect and the place it was signed remains a monument till today.
