As it stands:

1. Atiku and Obi, twelve (12) states;

Tinubu = ten (10) states but winner.

2. Tinubu meeting Constitutional spread and should be declared winner. Except for the FCT issue.

*Section 299 of the Constitution of 1999 provides as follows:*
*"The provisions of this Constitution shall apply to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as if it were one of the States of the Federation; and accordingly..."*
*Therefore if the candidate has scored 25% of the lawful votes cast in the election in 24 States of the Federation without the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja he has met the constitutional requirement envisaged by section 134 (2) (b) of the Constitution.*

There's absolutely nothing like special 25% in FCT, absolutely nothing, in as much as you have got 25% in 2/3 of 36 States and FCT, which means 24 states then and have simple majority of votes then you have won........ It is a common sense people staying in FCT are special Nigerian or they are angel please get sense Nigerian youth.... No wonder majority of youth fail in school, simple English......

2/3 of all the states and the FCT.

That's where you're all getting confused and getting your hopes up, right?

Lemme clear it up for you.

Nigeria is always referred to as having 36 states and the FCT. Certainly the Constitution would never say "2/3 of states" because it leaves out the FCT as part of the mix.

So 2/3 of the states and the FCT means any combination up to the minimum of 2/3. It doesn't mean the FCT must be included. As long as you've 2/3, with or without the FCT, you're good.

If you check the statement well, it means 36 states and Abuja, making 37. Abuja in this context is not separate entity but only being tag differently because of its federal capital territory status.

We can't know better than Falana on this issue I think.

Does it make sense to you to invalidate a whole majority votes with majority 25% because one state you did not get 25%? Very crazy logic. You are very desperate that you are not thinking logically.

FromTopToBottom:
Give Igbos their own international sea port and they will leave lagos ... Strictly business...most of you forgot that lagos is mixed in terms of religion and the biggest churches in nigeria are in the west...Tinubu did not only lost lagos because Igbos voted for their brother...but also because the Muslim-muslim ticket was a red flat for christians...yorubas voted for Obi too..

Some of you also forget that lagos was a former capital of Nigeria...hence another reason it is full of mix tribes

In conclusion, just give the south south their own international sea port and see how Igbos will shift their businesses peacefully from Lagos.

Igbos go to a foreign land to do businesses, become successful and the jealousy crips in...instead of been envious, try and work hard...no be to wake up every morning and be shouting "owo mi da" ...agbero

What you're writing here is complete utter nonsense .

First, Igbo land has no direct sea access. The closest it has is at Onitsha. So, forget a sea port for the Southeast.

Next, the largest seaport based on volume is actually Bonny port which is based in the East.

Another is that it's not only the sea port that draws Igbos. I can tell you that 98% of Igbos have nothing to do with the sea port.

Those who come to Lagos do so because of the huge business opportunities here. Lagos probably has more Igbos than Onitsha and Owerri combined. The financial opportunities here are a massive draw.

The so-called Jealousy the Yorubas have for the Igbos are either tiny or non-existent. If there was, they'd be encouraging their children to marry them.

Most Igbos in Lagos actually keep a low profile. They live amongst us and we shop at the same market. They prefer to live in a 2 bedroom at Okoko and build their Mansion in Nnewi. Many live averagely.

I used to live in Alausa and most of the igbos lived in slums. Many were managing like the other tribes. So, the issue of Jealousy does not really arise. It has never led to ethnic riots. Igbos have been peaceful. Igbos are go-getters.
