Edo State; A Hub of Developmental Strides For Over Six Years

The Huge investment in Human Capital Development with the provision of over 400,000 job by His Excellency Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki coupled with His Agricultural Revolution Programme in Cash Crops likes Cassava, Maize, Cocoa Yam, Oil Palm and Citrus Plants has provided not jus a Surviving Environment for Edo People to benefit from but a Productive Business Environment for Local and Foreign Investors to harness.

Also worthy to mention is the Infrastructural development in the Civil/Public Sectors coupled with the reconstruction of the World Class Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium which now has the Video Assistant Referee Technology, the revamping of the Edo State School of Nursing and Midwifery, acoupled with the total transformation of the Edo State Colleges of Agriculture and Ekiadolor are MEGA MILESTONES yet to be reach by any other administration in Edo State.

His Excellency' s Huge Investment in Technology from the Edo Innovation Hubs as well as the Edo Tech Park are positive Sign Posters that Edo is now transforming into a Digital Hub due to the cerebral dynamics of Governor Godwin Obaseki.

His Economic Reforms using the Annual "Alaghodaro Summit" as well as his Socio-cultural Reforms using Nafest and the retrieval of Our Stolen Artifacts from Europe has led to a Massive Impact of the MEGA ADMINISTRATION thus far.

With these and many more, it is safe to say that that we Edo State Requires MORE MEGA CONSISTENCY IN GOOD WORKS through EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION in the Edo State House Of Assembly when we all come out en masse to VOTE PDP MASSIVELY ON SATURDAY MARCH 11TH, 2023.

Ivie Edo Nuzomo, Let us put aside our sentiments, grievances and differences by voting against APC and godfatherism because A VOTE FOR THE PDP IS A VOTE FOR THE PEACE, SECURITY & PROSPERITY OF EDO STATE AND ALL EDOLITES.

MAKE WE REMEMBER SAY "EDO NO BE LAGOS OR IMO OO", THEREFORE, TINUBU NOR GO FIT RIG ANOTHER ELECTION FOR OUR HEAD AGAIN.

If you check deep down, you will know that you're just telling lies. If he's that good, why did he lose his unit? His people rejected him, they detest him! A Governor that's fighting the people by destroying their houses. Obaseki is a huge waste of vote.

Anyways, Make una support Honorable Amb Marcus Onobun KSC for House of representatives. HEs a good Man, whom I believe has learnt his lesson, and ready to do well for the good people of Okpebholo

400k jobs , how many people Dey Edo state? cheesy

During his last campaign , Obaseki went to every ward lying up and down, after wining ..

What did he do? He banged all Edo citizens in their ass..

Let him enjoy the music …

I learned he can’t hold a cup of water again because of overthinking how he is going to be disgraced out of office once the house of assembly is Re-constituted. cheesy

*MARCH 11: THE FATE OF EDO IN THE BALANCE*

People think the March 11 House of Assembly election in Edo State is about proving a point to Obaseki, it is not - Obaseki has already completed about six and a half years of his 8-year tenure. Pushing the narrative further, the election is also not about Peter Obi because like Obaseki, Peter Obi is not on the ballot in the Edo State House of Assembly election.

What then is the primary concern of the ordinary Edo citizen in the election? The common man on the street is desirous of a government that will provide security, good roads, good schools, and an environment that allows him to go about his daily pursuits, seeking a legitimate means of livelihood. So where is Edo on these indices of good governance, and how has the Obaseki government fared thus far?

Presently, Edo is one of most peaceful states in the country, enjoying a level of calm and sanity that had eluded the state for decades. Over the last six years, towns and cities in Edo have progressed from being terrorized by touts, and gangs of thugs; from the markets, motor parks and even in our local communities, masking as CDA enforcers. Now, with a community supported vigilante security system in place, superintended by the federal security structures, unwholesome activities such as crime, criminality and thuggery have been drastically reduced and notorious touts are no longer glorified in the society, as was the case in the previous administration.

In the education sector, the state is gradually regaining its place of pride in the country. Last year, Edo students emerged the best performing in the West African Examination Council exams. Years of education reforms put in place by the Edo Basic Education Sector Transformation (EdoBEST) are yielding tangible dividends, with over 3,000 digital teachers and almost three hundred thousand Edo pupils brought on board.

The transformational education reforms of the Obaseki-led administration transcends only basic education. The Edo College of Nursing, which was disaccredited under the previous government is currently one of the best health training institutes in West Africa. The erstwhile abandoned and derelict Benin Technical College has also been revamped with state of the art facilities installed to boost Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the state and equip our youth with the requisite skills to be able to eke out a good living.

In the three senatorial districts, all state-owned tertiary institutions have benefited significantly from the sector reforms. Even the Edo State College of Agriculture, Iguorhiakhi is undergoing a transformation unlike any that has been witnessed in recent years in the state.

Whether you like his politics or not, undoubtedly, Governor Godwin Obaseki has breathed a new lease of life into governance in the state. The outdated system of governance by the previous administration which was perpetuated to favour a few has systematically been updated to promote efficiency and transparency. While this has impacted quite significantly on the common Edolite, the old guard is embittered and cannot wait to reclaim their lost order.

The chain of slavish patronage headed by Tinubu, with questionable characters like former Edo governor, Oshiomhole and Tony Kabaka, operating in Edo, and Governor Sanwo-Olu and MC Oluomo running things in Edo, having lost out in several battles to oust Obaseki by hook or crook finally believe they can have their way in the state’s House of Assembly election. At the national level, they have brazenly demonstrated their destructive plots during the presidential election and are set to repeat same in Edo come March 11.

It is now left for Edo people to decide if they would rather have things return to the old order of touts and gangsterism by going against Governor Obaseki, or continue to support him in his developmental strides by voting for PDP candidates in the election. The fate of the Heartbeat of the Nation remains in the hands of the electorate.
