African Leaders Don't Love Their Country, They Only Love Their Greedy Bellies - Simi

Nigerian singer, Simi has blamed African leaders for the suffering their countrymen experience outside their countries, IGBERETV reports.

Read her tweets below.

Black Africans have to fight and fight for space and respect and survival everywhere they go because the one place that is their birth right is hard on their lives. One would think this would make African leaders wake tf up and help us fight for our dignity.

"Who really wants to go a land of strangers, away from everyone and thing they love? People that want to survive. Nobody chooses that life because it's good or easy. They just don't want to die feeling that helpless.

"But these leaders don't love their country. They don't love their people. They only love their greedy bellies. They only care about their own children. They only care about their families. As long as their wickedness is not happening to them, why stop?

The problem is not African leaders.
Its the foolish citizens/followers stupidly following and defending their greedy rulers who impoverish them.
Africans are the reasons why Africa may still remain a long underdeveloped continent.

Nigeria remains a perfect case study why Africa may never attain real development

We are not ready yet, all we do is tribal politics in this country . As long as it’s still centered on tribalism then let the best player continue to win. When we are truly ready, we all know what to do.

Same rhetoric. Can people just stop talking about Nigeria's problem. I have heard this since primary school. Make/give recommendations or take actions. OR stfu (using your language Simi)

The reason most people dabble into politics in the first place is because "there is money in politics".
Politics is suppose to be about rising to top position at which one serves selflessly but it has morphed into the mudslinging and treachery that people use to outsmart one another at personal level. There are good people but the evil people are more driven and have seized the major platforms for political ascendency.

The leaders grew up in the same society as we, so we are all the same

Citizens are the biggest problems, not even the leaders. If the citizens demand better, the leaders will sit up. Just like the Obidient Movement are making them sit up right now

shocked

Musicians don’t love their fans, they only love the money the fans are generating for them.

Simi what was your say during the last election? Better go and die.

But when the masses are given the opportunity to vote out these greedy and selfish leaders, they still pander to tribal, religious, and trivial sentiments to vote the same BAD LEADERS into power. The problem is the followers. They are not yet serious.

Africans deserve their leaders. Always handing them over to God to fight for them.

Africans removed their brains and replaced it with Bible and Quran.

I discovered during the just concluded election that masses are their own enemies and not the leaders.

We deserve the type of leaders we get.
The rat race continues and nothing much will change.

Tinubu is a good example of this. A greedy man like him that only cares about achieving his presidential ambition must not be allowed to rule.

Politicians love themselves more than the country they took oath to serve
Sometimes they may consider citizens for stomach infrastructure

We are on path to making things right.
It’s so sad the average black man is so selfish and thinks only of personal interests.
But as information and technology is improving rapidly, and people are getting smarter we are on course to holding them accountable.

cool

Nigeria is a perfect example of what she is describing.

The leaders and citizens of the country knows the country is not working but the leaders are so greedy they wont divide the country so the citizens can live better lives.

They hide under fake patriotism of keeping the country together but what they are after is the petrodollars that the country is earning.
