The citizens suffering are only doing themselves. What does it cost to open a palmpay account, even some have accounts but adamantly refuse to accept transfers because a fool will buy money to in turn buy goods from them. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this policy except the illiterates suffering from it implementation.
The transfer you are talking about is not going, I made two transfers to Opay accounts about a week ago but the recipients are yet to receive value and I have been debited.
Policy is good but implementation/planning is a total disaster

Thank God we are free at least from them. It would have been from Fran pan to fire. May almighty give Asiwaju Tinubu the wisdom to lead this country to the promise land.
I will keep this ur statement for posterity, I pray Tinubu succeeds but I don't think so, once they will compensate their Allies with important positions meant for professionals. Nigeria is already gone, too bad the masses are going through hell

So the country should remain stuck in the past because of these people ? Cuz each time any sort of development is brought up it’s always can the local market women use it …is it not yet time for the one with no formal education or exposure to adapt to the changing environment they find themselves or get left behind

Nigerians won't just cease to amaze me. They didn't beg us to before we started to reject the old naira notes; even at the detriment of our daily and economic lives; even before the deadline they set.Now the same government said we should continue spending the money and they are begging us to do that when it's to our advantage.
Nigeria has played a great role in making sure we're used to suffering even when the government don't want to suffer us we prefer to suffer ourselves

Nigerians like to be suffering and smiling. They don't like to change.

But the policy was poorly implemented.

You see,

The food we eat, the oil (palm oil) we consume comes from the villages. Some of those villagers are 100% into farming.

They are not educated. Most of them doesn't have banks close to them. You will be surprise to hear that network are rarely available in some rural areas. They don't have good access to the internet...at least not the way we do in the township and cities.

For this people, they will only sell their farm products via cash. No transfer no nothing.

This are the people the policy is suppose to prioritize. They should be orientated and means of payment like POS and co should be made available for them.

The people in the cities are well vast in the latest technologies but they are not producers. Most people in the Cities are more of consumers.

If they want this policy to continue, the government need to provide solution to the aforementioned problems.

Despite not being in support of the acute cash shortage being experienced but this is a baseless analysis with spurious figure "20trillion" in this few months, how much is our annual budget, we have such and Nigeria is borrowing left, right, center?

Such should not make Frontpage, it could mislead the unlearned lot on Nairaland

Just yesterday a woman who needed two thousand to give her daughter who is a boarder to go to school, was telling me her struggles getting that amount of cash. I couldn't believe when she narrated her rejections from even close associates for cash.
Better for everybody to start doing something menial to get their own cash.

The Nigerian economy is wildly driven by physical cash. So a cash policy like this will definitely affect the economy negatively to a large extent.

we need to protect our economyby going cashless.this our quest for phy cash aint healthy for africaa at all. its our greed that brought us here.by d time we fully adopt this system,a lot of financial n character irregularities will be exposed n brought under control.after 18th march,d withdrawal limitwill be increased but d old over will never be accepted, then we will sigh.but we must go fully cashless o! nigerians n africa seem too careless, when are we gonna wake up ! do u know even govt public offices n agencies still collect cash? do u know even our airports n embassies still receive cash ?ha !haba !!what for ?SOME OF US WHO HAVE GONE OUT OF THIS SHORESKNOW IT NOT LIKE THIS OVER THERE .WE JUST NEED TO GROW .OUR KIDS YET UNBORN WILL STILL MEET THIS MESS N STILL STRUGGLE WIT SAME.SO LETS START
