This zone comprising of 6 LGAs includes Nkanu East, Nkanu West , Enugu East , Enugu South, Enugu North and Isiuzo LGAs. Labour Party candidate is from Isiuzo. Since Nkanu Land has produced two Governors before, LP candidate by his origin and In the principle of equity should have it.

Exactly, I laugh when people say it is Nkanu turn as if it is shared LGA by LGA. It is senatorial zone not LGA, Chimaroke is from Enugu East, Sullivan is from Enugu West and the incumbent Gburugburu is from Enugu North.
So by qualifications based on zones both PDP, APC, LP and APGA qualified.
