Watching Scotland debate again this morning, and I can't but to cry for my country for turning Electoral debate into Town-Hall Meetings!

Whoever introduced that has set a very bad precedence that every Nigerian politician will be latching on henceforth and has set our democracy backwards by 100years!

The people that stepped down for Sanwo, no one was going to vote for them anyway.. it is better they take their own cut upfront and go relax in Maldives with their side chick's while Sanwo Olu gets his butt handed to him on March 18th.

The tribe Rhodes Gbadebo belongs to is not an issue, the fact is that just like his master Peter Obi, he doesn't have the necessary experience to contest against Sanwo-Olu. If he was contesting against another first timer, that would be different. But trying to wrestle power away from Sanwo-Olu an incumbent who has done excellently well compared to other governors in the country, that is going to be a herculean task.

Below is the population census of Lagos about 100 years ago,

The population of Lagos Colony was analysed into 'Yoruba' and 'Non-Yoruba' tribes:

1. Eko tribe had fallen from 57% in 1872 to 23.6% 20 years later.
2. Popo or Egun tribe was 15.85%,

3. Other Yoruba groups
Oyo - 11.6%
Ijebu - 11.01%
Awori - 9.26%
Egba - 6.05%
Ijesha - 4.32%
Egbado - 3.63%
Ekiti/Efon people - 1.76%

4. Non-Yoruba groups
Nupe/Tapa - 1.86%
Hausa - 1.86%
The Kru - 1.37%.
