Everything about that divisive Junkie reeks ipob grin cheesy

Lagos Island itself is the Property of the Awori Yorubas who gave his returnee slave Ancestors refuge and rehabiltated them

But this insult is too much

People like Desmond Elliott are Yoruba Saro they don't insult other Yorubas like this

This mischief must be the handiwork of Bode George

This akotileta might even start the eviction of Yorubas out of Lagos under the guise of decongestion while his Igbo relatives live at large.

By the time he's finished his tenure, the damage may have gone too far to be fixed.

To think he would want to fix his stooge there to continue where he stopped is another migraine.

He is dangerous!

Its only those who do not know basic history that can denigrate the Ijebu peoples contribution to Lagos...this is very very sad.

It is obvious that GCRV is an outsider when it comes to Lagos.

I bet he can tell you more about Igbo culture/history than Yoruba culture/history.

Christistruth01, he is right about what the area composition of colonial Lagos was as at pre-independence.

However, Lagos was part of the Western Region Parliament, as such, Azikiwe being an MP from Lagos, wanted to become Premier of the Western Region.

When his NCNC failed to gain majority seat in the Western Region Parliament, with AG forming the regional government with Awolowo as Premier, Azikiwe then tried to go to the Federal Parliament as a Lagos MP. However, the regional Parliament was required to ratified those who would proceed to Federal Parliament, so Awolowo rather ensured that it was a Yoruba Lagos MP (Olorunimbe) that was ratified for Lagos to proceed to the federal Parliament.

Azikiwe realising that Awolowo had successfully caged him within the Western Region Parliament, abandoned his Lagos MP seat at the Ibadan regional Parliament, and took up a seat by replacement in the East, and ensured he resisted Dr Eyo Ita who had become Premier as NCNC leader in the SouthEast but could not successfully start his government, so he could take up the Eastern Premiership for himself as NCNC national leader.
In 1951 the MacPherson constitution allowed Lagos Colony to merge with the the Western Region for Administrative Purposes and it was granted 5 MPs to Ibadan compare with Abuja 1 senator.I
However the government of Lagos was under the Federal Government with Federally appointed Minister just like Abuja

No wonder he was served in Epe
People do not know that we make garri in Lagos state

It is impossible for an Indigene of Lagos not to know that Eastern Lagos is Ijebuland
I even suspect that he and his deputy are imposters

It is not possible for someone from Ikorodu not to know that they are Ijebu

We can thrash out Lagos History later

This Chinedu Rhodes insult from ipob is too great all in the name of destroying Lagos as Nnamdi Kanu was ordering ipob to do over the radio during Endsars

Very possible and very commonly so.
There are many Yoruba people raised in Lagos that cannot speak Yoruba
His deputy is said to be Ayangburen's daughter
You cannot fake that

Re: A Man From Ijebu Is Questioning A Rhodes-vivour by 0m0nnakoda: 1:12am On Mar 15, 2023
Lagos was colonised in an operation known as
THE REDUCTION OF LAGOS

One of the reasons for this action was the premise that
LIBERATED SAROS SETTLED IN LAGOS WERE ABOUT TO BE REENSLAVED

In this military enterprise the British had willing allies in the population of local Saros who spoke English and were rewarded with the status of an African elite with elevated status
They were traitors then and will be again

The colony of Lagos was almagamated be before 1914 certainly.

Forget all these talks, Lagos was lost to Nigeria long ago
0m0nnakoda:

You just jump in like an errant child into adult conversationand start talking ignorantly
Who is talking about territory?
We are talking law and legal status
Where does SURRENDER come into it.
The question of What is or is not Nigerian territory can only arise after 1960. Before then it was British and So any queries would have to reference British law and treaties. Part of why we had to give up Bakassi
What was the official title of Nigeria after Amalgamation in 1914
Today it is Federal republic of Nigeria
What was it in 1914?
Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria
Colony was Lagos
Legally in British law the rest of Nigeria was a Protectorate and not a Colony many never inquire into what that means legally but it is significant
The likes of Vivour-Rhodes may qualify for a British passport by a complex but still valid route

But ask him anything about Igbos or Biafra or IPOB, Chinedu go carry first.

He does not know that Ikorodu, Epe, Lekki, Ibeju-Lekki, and Ajah, are all Ijebu.

Because your ancestors returned from slavery and as Yorubas, chose to settle in Lagos, does not make you more Lagosian than Lagos royals like the Kosokos, or the Dosunmus, or the Eshinlokuns all of Eko, or the Ijebu Oyefusi of Ikorodu and Ijebu Otedola of Epe.

He does not know that even his own family could actually be Ijebu.

Why are you playing tribal politics even unto yourself. Please this should stop. Let's love ourselves. What we want is good governance.

He is yet to make any negative comment against Igbos from all his internet history or current political campaign, but is very comfortable with disparaging Yorubas.
