Everything Lagos!!!
There has been little news from other states across Nigeria about their governorship elections.
Igbos voting in Lagos is now the most contentious topic.

Togo, Benin and Ewe people of Ghana are culturally and geographically closer to Lagos and all the surrounding areas are all Yoruba Land.

States and capital are the creation of the military and Nigeria is a British creation. So, picking out Lagos is like picking a hand or leg from a body.

Definitely, the continuity in the developments by the government of Lagos has brought progress otherwise thousands of Igbo people will not keep migrating there everyday border free.

Don't spoil it for them now.

To gain respect
Igbo people need to develop their region.

If Igbo people try to take Lagos governorship and fail, The Yorubas with the Presidency of Tinubu will definitely likely change some things such as:

1. Compulsory purchase of land acquired by Igbo people (Such has been used by the government of England and Wales across the United Kingdom to take back land)
2. Restriction in selling land to non-indigenes (Such as practiced in Igboland, Benin, and several non-liberal places in Nigeria)
3. The gentrification of Igbo areas like Alaba and computer village in a way that the government will build modern malls there and redistribute to Yoruba people while compensating the evicted Igbo shop owners.
4. change in the law such that people must vote in their local government or hometown.

Ghana already did one of these self-preservation methods when they made a law that Nigeria (mostly Igbo) shops must pay 1 million dollars to be able to open their shop in Ghana and compete with Ghanaians in the same market. This led to the closure of several shops and redistribution to Ghanaians who the Igbos ran out of business and took over their market.

So Igbo people need to develop their land and be proud of it. That is the only place no one can dictate to them how to run their affairs.

Yorubas can see clearly their plans, only a fool won't take actions, if someone is coming for your state, that is a direct confrontation.

After your forefathers sold most of their lands legitimately to the ever hard working Igbos, because of hunger and needs, you now come up with this trash.

It will interest you that if there will be a case then, it will be between your ancestors vs the Igbos not this generational disgruntled Yorubas.

Even here in Gboko most business complex & fine houses everywhere belongs to the Igbos 😎

@OP.

The way I see things going in the near future, every Nigerian will have to first build lives and successes from their regional bases.

Only Igbos seem grossly unprepared for this. As you mentioned, the Ghanaians staged a one million dollars coup to drive Igbos out and regain control of their market and position Ghanaians in control of selling space in their own nation.

Yet Igbos did not see it coming because they are so pugnaciously arrogant and materialistic. Goodluck to a people who never heed warning signs and, historically, prefer to head into trouble when it is too late to right wrongs.

Singing #welcome to fantasyland, were castles are built in the air .....😂😂😂😂

If you want to do compulsory purchase of land acquired by Igbo people be prepared to pay the current market price😂😂😂

The Alhaji that sold some of his share of plots to us, used his proceeds to buy Peugeot 404, married more wives and fathered kids with reckless abandon, ikomo was a steady in his household, closed down the street for an owambe to celebrate his father that died 40 years earlier. Had his multitude of children enrolled in jakande schoolssome dropped out of school ended up being touts.

When Alhaji died, his wives and his several children decided to sell off the houses and land Alhaji left behind.....the ready buyers were non+ Yorubas, the family cashed out and continued the wasteful spending, till they became broke, they didn't empower majority of their children with good quality education nor vocational skills......they sadly, ended up becoming urchins

Little or no education nor vocational skills they began to eye the properties and investments of non-Yorubas, becoming demanding as if the land were grabbed from their fathers and grandfathers at gun point.

They are still selling land not reinvesting the funds, their children will also start to shine their own eyes in the coming decades.

The sad cycle continues.

igbos are Nigerians living in Ghana. Igbos as Nigerians could acquire properties in any part of the country. Land use act 1979. Yes, Governor
can revoke C of O with full compensation. You don't sell your lands to non-natives and still ask them to exit. That is the reason herdsmen are causing
havoc in some communities. Village Chiefs would collect cows for herdsmen to settle. Many years later due to development , they would ask herdsmen to go. Why wouldn't they fight? Something is wrong with us. You don't want Biafra and igbo presidency. Even Gej as Ijaw man became President accidentally.

Early morning rants.
When your fathers were busy killing and forcing a people (who only wanted to stay on their own) to be part of One Nigeria, they didn't realize that it will come back to bite them in their dirty bum bum later?
It's the One Nigeria you fought so hard for and the Igbos will continue to buy up your ancestral lands whether you like it or yes.
It's gonna be a long ride bro, better relax and enjoy it.

I can assure you that if all Igbos leave Lagos for you and develop their region.
You will crumple down Lagos economy, turn it to slum and insist that Igbos must allow you to thrive in Enugu, Anambra, Abia, Ebonyi and Imo. After all, they used the money they made in Lagos to develop their region. That will be your argument.
Why do you think, yorubas have consistently aligned with Hausa-Fulani to ensure Igbos don't become president?
They know that they can never compete with Igbos if equal playing field is allowed.

An average Igbo man is highly competitive, unlike the Yoruba and the Hausa/Fulani.

While the Yoruba and the Hausa/Fulani had kingdoms which enabled the British to infiltrate their territories easily, the Igbos on the other hand, had what could be called “Chiefdoms” (autonomous Communities). These structures made it very difficult to tame the Igbos.

It took the British just 9 months to tame the North and South West but almost 30 years to be able to tame the Igbos. The British had to send a team of anthropologists to the South to understudy the Igbo because, they (the British) acknowledged they hadn’t been up against a black race with such depth and intelligence coupled with the gut to confront the whites and learn from them so, so fast.

While a Tinubu, can have unrestricted influence over the Yoruba tribe, something you can only find mostly among blacks and some poor nations on earth today, an Igbo man can never be tamed by the ideology of one man unchecked, no matter how highly placed he or she is. That’s why the Igbos are very successful no matter where they find themselves. They don’t believe in putting limitations on their path. You can only find such similarities among the Europeans, the Americans, and developed Asian tiger nations.

A Hausa/Fulani man sees Kano as his world. A Yoruba man sees Lagos as his world. An Igbo man sees the world as his Village
