Chief Nnia Nwodo, who is an uncle to the Labour Party governorship candidate in Enugu State, Chijioke Edeoga, has lambasted Mr. Peter Obi, whom he described as a mere opportunist and half-baked illiterate, for refusing to lift Edeoga's hand when he visited Enugu.

A visibly enraged Nwodo, who reacted almost immediately when the news got to him that Peter Obi did not endorse his nephew and LP candidate for the March 18th election in Enugu State, said Peter Obi is an ungrateful coward and insensitive too.

Nwodo said it was unfortunate that Peter Obi has shown his kind of character and personality, saying the only reason he refused to endorse Chijioke Edeoga for governor is because the latter is an Anglican.

It's on record that Peter Obi does not associate with Anglicans, the records are there; his politics are tied to religion and denomination. We have it on good authority that Peter Obi held a meeting with Catholic Bishops in Enugu where they told him that Anglican cannot be allowed to Govern the State and instead, they would support Peter Mbah and there were agreement for Peter Obi not to endorse the Labour Party's governorship election.

Chief Nwodo added that he feels betrayed by Peter Obi, whom he led to the political prominence he is enjoying today in Nigeria.

The former leader of the Igbo Apex Body, Ohaneze ndị Igbo, said it was him who led Peter Obi to all the ethnic-based associations in the country for endorsement, starting from Afenifere, the Middle-belt forum, Ohaneze, and other groups. Instead, what Peter Obi would appreciate him with would be the betrayal of his nephew and the candidate of the Labour Party in Enugu State.

An angry Nwodo said Peter Obi has no character and does not keep his agreements.

Chief Nwodo also accused Peter Obi of diverting billions of naira and dollars donated by Igbo businessmen and others in the diaspora for Labour Party elections, but regrettably, Obi diverted them to Anambra for State House of Assembly campaigns and abandoned others.

Peter Obi was seen campaigning for state House of Assembly members in Anambra State and throughout other states, lifting the hands of Labour Party candidates, but he refused to campaign for the Labour Party in Enugu. His behavior is heinous; he has rejected the Labour Party in Enugu and may as well abandon Edeoga because he is Anglican, but we will expose Peter Obi so that Nigerians will see through his character and how hollow he is.
