duro4chang:Congratulations to sanwoolu, should he eventually emerge victorious. The message is clear already as they themselves have seen. Lagos isn't moving forward as expected. Ambode opened many people's eyes. If you're resident here, you'd attest to this. Arun oju ni. It's visible to the eyes. Except we're deceiving ourselves. I hope he'd address people's concerns especially in my LG. But if status quo is maintained, the people will continue to suffer, and always agitate for a change. I've nothing to benefit from them and I don't intend to. I see most of them overseas and we don't greet cos I have no business with them but they should give the people what they want as they're their servants...dividends of democracy, not using their money to aquire property here and there, what they'd not be buried with when they die. Pa jakande, the revolutionist wasn't burried inside one of the estates he built for lagosians. Lagos isn't that big. They say...eko ko tobi, awa eeyan inu ę lo po. I don't care who wins, I'm an advocate of good governance. Lagos land mass can't be expanded than it is. Why not use the revenues judiciously? Did you know despise ambode's massive projects in lagos, lagos still declared budget surplus? Governance is not a rocket science. Corruption is hampering lagos development The state is rich enough to even be autonomous. They keep saying tinubu ran lagos LGAs for years as governor without federal allocation, when they truly know that the fed allocation is like jaara. We don't need it to develop Lagos. Revenue from vehicle licence renewal annually alone would swallow a state's annual budget. There are other much more lucrative areas too. I don't need to mention my name here. I was one of those who agitated for CCTV at Strategic traffic points in lagos, before they began looking into it. What ought to have been in place long before now. Ordinary cotonou had it everywhere installed to curb crime. They use it to generate revenues from traffic offenders too. God has blessed me and that's enough my friend. On coming back to the fold, forward ever, backward never. I've got nothing to do with the apc or its support again. The change i was looking for in them never existed. In near future, I do hope we'd get it right in lagos and entre country. To those of you who may be attacking igbos wrongly, its really not fair. They have a right to vote their candidate like you and I in a democracy. I wonder why this doesn't happen in Abuja as well cos after lagos, it's abuja where you'd see a large number of them. Lagos election has always been this violent especially in the areas where they dominate. Thugs always go there to foment trouble. If you remember the past, it has always been so. I remember in 1999 , same scenario. This year's election is a different ball game. We had our reason for voting LP on 25th feb in Alimosho. Ibos are merely 5% of our population, same as other areas where APC had lost and that means a lot. It's a message to them. Their losses wasn't caused by ibos or Muslim Muslim ticket as people aleways ignorantly posit. We dont vote based on religon in Yorubaland as you always know. A pastor's wife at an RCCG said she's voting tinubu and sanwoolu. She's an ogbomoso woman. Thats it. They're just not doing enough with our resources. No nation thrives amid sentiments, check it. My humble opinion. |
