What Can You Do For Nigeria. by dearone: 3:06pm On Sep 01, 2007
Hello friends,

What if our country can really be good again, what if we can in a few years from now live like the days where tribe and religion where never a barrier to our success.

Here is a yahoo group that is set to bring Nigerians together to discuss all about it .

Nigeria is not a nation that " what if it can be good again", Nigeria us surely on her way back to the glorious day, a day where we will be forced to reckon with, we can all do out best to get nigeria back to where it used to be, where 1Naira has more weight than USD, but it cant be done only by re-denomination, but gradually with us all doing our best, nigeria will rise again
Re: What Can You Do For Nigeria. by SwtNsoFLyy(f): 3:17pm On Sep 01, 2007

I am not Nigerian, and wont join the group,, but as an African American, my roots are from Africa, and Nigeria is somewhat my sister country until I finish with my Ancestral geanelogy cultural testing so I will know.  What if im related to someone on the board grin

Nigeria is going through some trials right now, thats for sure, especially in areas like Port Harcourt, but its all going to change very soon. This is not only going to take faith by the believer, but just everyone in general from all tribes to come together as one.  This is written in God's words, so we have to keep believeing,  and u have to FEEL it,  then God's WILL be done ,

trust me, its coming very soon,    smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley smiley  so keep Nigeria's future generations uplifted in prayer, as well the elders that are here now to pass along their knowledge of our forefathers,

peace & blessings,

Re: What Can You Do For Nigeria. by ssRhino: 4:28pm On Sep 01, 2007
I think till we nigerians loose the mentality of what nigeria can do for me, and wake up to the reality that me and you make up what nigeria is, nigeria seems to still have a long way to go, but if i am "nigeria", i will first kill the "aje" in you, and then, we can sit down and make nigeria better tongue

Well it is very neccessary that we have vision for ourselves, My question "what can you do for Nigeria" Is really what can you do for humanity, what can you do for yourself, what can you do for the people you meet everyday.

Many people do not understand that this is the great vision of life. You are part of Nigeria and part of this great universe, is there anything you do that is not for yourself.

Even if its creating a business that will sell, what you are doing is solving problem that exist and through it you are making yourself and other people around you happier.

Just think about the person that is baking bread, and the other person that is distributing the bread and the other next person that has noticed that you don't need to travel far to buy the bread and decided to sell it in the neigborhood.

Anyways, what you can do for Nigeria is just more than you think.

We can all help each other to make things happen, maybe the next person can help you get your dream alive, or you might be the person that can just offer an advice that will help the person to a successful living.

Do you know that a lot of people are just looking and waiting for somebody to acknowledge them and tell them to keep on moving.

Some people feel they are in the wilderness and have no courage to speak to anybody because of fear of ridicule.

That is why I created this Yahoo group.

It MAY be a great nation soon, but not in my lifetime. I've seen and heard enough of what goes on there to last me 40 lifetimes.

I admire your passion for what you believe in, that's great, and there are many who share your dream / vision. But, I'm definitely not one of them, Nigeria did NOTHING for me, the 10 years I lived there.

And sadly, it gets worse, as the years roll by.

For the most part, fear is nothing but an illusion.
When you share it with someone else, it tends to disappear.

So what do you want Nigeria to do for you? And please define who Nigeria is and what you want Nigeria to do for you.

Maybe we have to start from that

Well i may not be a Nigerian but i have been there, worked there and almost got killed ther but i love Niraland. There is one potential i think slips un-noticed, the level of IQ in 419 affiliates can be more useful if only they had a plan to sell their skills for money. ICT is the in thing in todays world and i can proudly say as an ICT specialist that 419=Total shame. Guys you got the brains so build the nation wisely.

Ask not what Nigeria can do for you,...Ask what you can do for Nigeria.
