I will support a constitutional provision to rotate the presidency between the south and the north on an 8 years basis. It will reduce the ethno-religious dimension in our politics.

Illusion of grandeur! I will do this, I will do that as if his opinion ever matters in the scheme of things. All he does is to forecast and align so that it would look like they took his advice. Megalomania on steroids!

Before Primaries, he wrote that based on feelers from his contacts within Aso Rock and among Northern leaders, Tinubu's aspirations to win APC primaries would never happen.

After Tinubu won the primaries, he wrote that Tinubu was wasting his time and that all roads to any election success for him has been blocked.

After Tinubu's famous Emilokan speech, he wrote that the entire North was now totally against Tinubu and proclaimed that Tinubu was finished. Mr Kperogi hides his tribalism so well.

After Tinubu won the elections, he went quiet, no doubt embarrassed with himself.

Now, he is coming out trying to position himself as a detrabalised sensible writer genuinely concerned about Nigeria 's constitutional arrangements.

The man has been wrong time and again. His credibility is shot to pieces.

Nigerians can never sit on a round table and frankly come out with any good resolution because the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are in unholy alliance to milk us dry. The only way out would be when there is major crises and people pull apart, just maybe another Aburi can once and for all bring about a far-reaching settlement.

Your problem will solve, the day you begin to hold your leaders responsible in your region.

Yorubas are not the reason why Okowa has not paid the retirees their benefits while Hausa/ Fulani is not the reason why your Gov in Abia has refused to do any projects since he came to office

The opinions of illiterates do not matter here, Nigeria has a constitution that allows everyone to vote or be voted for where he resides, If you do not like the constitution, go to court.

Every Nigerian, including Bola Tinubu, knows that it's the turn of the Igbo in the SE to produce a president for Nigeria. Tinubu's it's my turn declaration is an insult to the Igbos.

Simply make Nigeria a regional system based country with a weaker central unit. This will fix many issues. Infact, the contests will be at the regional level as regional premiers will control their resources, identity, etc.

If Nigeria fails to attend to issue of ethnicity, Nigeria will burn down some day. It is just a matter of time. We are playing with fire. When it will consume us eh, we go hear word grin

The beauty of national election in Nigeria is the ethno-religious outlook. I'll rather prefer a weakened and unattractive centre, and a strong regional politics.

It could be fair, but 8 years is too much

I prefer a 5yr single tenure

The way Nigerian leaders become useless in their second tenure makes me believe 5yr single tenure is better. If you cannot fix the problem of the state in 5years then you should not bother contesting.

If you can be making money somewhere then you have to pay your dues there.

Taxes nko?

It is selfishness to take taxes from people and when it's time for politics, you remind them of their state of origin.

If you don't want non indigenes to vote, you should also stop collecting taxes from them.

Since 1999, rotation of the presidency between the north and the south has been in place and helped to save Nigeria's integrity.

But in 2023 when it's the turn of the Igbo, Atiku and Tinubu would not allow rotation. Atiku knew that the south would not permit his succeeding president Buhari. So Atiku came to contest merely to stop any possibility for an Igbo in PDP succeeding president Buhari.
Tinubu has Igbos who are presidrntial materials and who formed APC with him in APC during APC presidential primaries. But he didn't consider any Igbo worthy of presiding over Nigeria. In 1999, the PDP formed by an Igbo man enabled Obasanjo clinch Nigeria's presidential seat - because of consideration for zoning. Few Yorubas were in PDP then.
A cancer is about to be grown on the body of Nigeria if an Igbo is denied the presidential seat this time.

Taxes will only guarantee you the right to live, school, work, do business, healthcare and have access to other social amenities in the region you live in. Voting will only be allowed in your state of origin.

We need to completely kill the type of ethnic propaganda that was spurn up during the last elections. The opportunity for irresponsible political actors and their surrogates to push us to the brink should be totally cut off.

A proposed ammendment to the electoral act and other areas of the constitution that concerns the right to vote to reflect this might just come up during the next national assembly.

Better it's done in 6 regions. There is no way Tinubu can secure up to a thousand vote if it was the turn of Yorubas and he is contesting against a seasoned technocrats. He is a druggie they all know. He is old and suffer dementia. Those who ralied behind him are just tribalists who don't care about the country for so long as their tribesman is in charge. Tinubu would not have even won primaries.

The same goes for Buhari lack of criticism from the north. As for Peter Obi, Igbo people will always rally behind him anytime anyday.
Especially the ordinary Igbos in the streets.
If Obi ran against Sullivan Chime, he will not Garner 500 votes even in his village, he is seasoned fàiluré who left his fàilûres as a govèrñór bèhînd and ran to Lagos, if he ran against a seasoned democrat like Sullivan Chime where they are both square on religîóus and ethnic grounds, Obi won't get 500 votes from the 6 geopolitical zones.

They should be ready for a completely destroyed Nigeria then because someday, with the way the last election went, there would be ethnic based war as long as the president of Nigeria is such a powerful figure in the country which is seen as a president rules over the other ethnic group.
And this current system is bad becus some ethnic groups can be systematically prevented from ruling. Nigeria cant have peace if Nigeria does not resolve this issue.

Everyone doing business, paying taxes in a state is doing the state a favour.
No governor in the south west can come out to say nonindigenes should leave their states and go to their states of origin to pay taxes, they are wiser than illiterates who don't know the meaning of revenue.
