The National Population Commission (NPC) in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency (NOA)on Saturday convened a 1-day workshop for bloggers and social media Influencers to educate participants on the processes and methodology for the 2023 Population and Housing Census

Dr Ishiaq Alada, the commission's Director of Public Affairs, said the participants would serve as the NPC ambassadors on social media platforms ahead of the head and housing counts that would run between May 3 and 7.

Participants were tutored on the goals and approach of the commission in delivering a successful and credible cencus. Also, they were sensitised by various speakers on prositive orientation of the social media community and the promotion of the commission's activities.

This engagement of a formidable network of bloggers, online activists and influencers to champion youth and citizen mobilization for participation in the 2023 Nigeria Census is part of it's approach in ensure a hitch-free 2023 Population and Housing Census.
