Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions in the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN):

POST: Assistant Director, Administration

LOCATION: Enugu Zonal Headquarters

REQUISITE QUALIFICATION

A recognized university degree in Arts or Social Sciences. Possession of Masters Degree in relevant field and membership of any recognized professional body in Management or Administration will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

At least 12 years post qualification experience in administration and proven management training at a senior level. Knowledge of current trends in information and communication technology is mandatory.

DUTIES:

Responsible to the Deputy Director, Administration and Supplies


To initiate ideas for policy, planning and development
To co-ordinate and supervise the activities of all units in his department


To set and monitor standards of performance
To prepare budgets and control the financial performance of his department


To determine the training needs of staff of his department




To carry out other tasks as may be assigned to him from time to time


SALARY: GL. 15 i.e. N1,152,648 x 47,640 = N1,533,768 per annum.

LOCATION: Enugu Zonal Directorate

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS:

A University Degree in Arts or Social Sciences or a recognized professional qualification in Personnel Management.

EXPERIENCE

At least 10 years post qualification experience in administrative duties. Knowledge of current trends in information and communication technology is mandatory.

DUTIES:

To relieve the Assistant Director, Administration of routine personnel and industrial relations matters.

Direct supervision of personnel administration. Handling of staff petitions, discipline and appeals.

SALARY: GL. 14 i.e. N837,855 x 33,638 = N1,174,235 per annum.

LOCATION: Ibadan National Station

REQUISITE QUALIFICATION:

A recognized University degree in mass communication or social sciences. Possession of a masters degree in the relevant field will be an advantage.

At least 12 years post qualification experience in the relevant field. Proven management training and experience at a senior level. Knowledge of current trends in information and communication technology is mandatory.

DUTIES

To assist Deputy Director, Programmes in setting and interpreting Corporation’s policy and ensuring its effective implementation;


To assist in the formulation of long and short-range plans and proposals for operational and development activities;
To supervise, control and co-ordinate the activities of the department making up his Division.


To prepare monthly reports on the activities, problems and prospects of his Divisions;
To carry out all other tasks assigned to him by the Deputy Director Programmes.


SALARY: GL. 15 i.e. N1,152,648 x 47,640 = N1,533,768 per annum.

LOCATION: Ibadan National Station

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS:

A recognized university degree in Engineering with electronics as a specialized subject or a recognized professional qualification such as Corporate membership of I.E.E. or I.E.R.E. Corporate membership of NSE plus registration with COREN is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE

At least 8 years working experience. Knowledge of current trends in information and communication technology is mandatory.

DUTIES:

Responsible to Chief Engineer for evaluation of monthly reports to ensure compliance with operational and maintenance standards.


Analysis of operation and maintenance reports for the purpose of establishing relevant standards.
Monitoring the technical quality of transmissions from the national stations.


Ensuring that investigation is carried out on specific or recurring technical problems.
Any other duties as directed by the Chief Engineer.


SALARY: GL. 13 i.e. N758,579 x 31,246 = N1,071,039 per annum.

POST: Assistant Chief Internal Auditor

LOCATION: Ibadan National Station

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS

A recognized university degree in accounting, or a recognized professional qualification such as membership of any of the accounting bodies e.g. ACA, ACCA, or ACMA.

EXPERIENCE

At least 8 years working experience. Knowledge of current trends in information and communication technology is mandatory.

DUTIES:

Examines copies of quarterly accounts and recurrent expenditure list.


Makes sure that accounting procedures and accounting instructions are followed and maintained.
Direct supervision of expenditure, cash imprest account, etc.


Special investigation as directed by the Chief Internal Auditor.
Assists in the review of existing internal audit checks and accounting methods for improvement


Assists in the preparation and periodic review of the Internal Audit Programme of work in consultation with the Chief Internal Auditor
SALARY: GL. 13 i.e. N758,579 x 31,246 = N1,071,039 per annum.

LOCATION: Ibadan National Station

REQUISITE QUALIFICATION:

A recognized university degree in Engineering with electronics as a specialised subject or a recognized professional qualification such as Corporate membership of I.E.E. or I.E.R.E. Corporate membership of NSE plus registration with COREN is mandatory.

EXPERIENCE

At least 6 years working experience. Knowledge of current trends in information and communication technology is mandatory.

DUTIES:

Responsible to the Assistant Chief Engineer for Preparation of Specifications for projects.


Preparation of evaluation report on tenders.
Carrying out acceptance tests on equipment.


Any other duties as directed by the Assistant Chief Engineer.
SALARY: GL. 12 i.e. N679,669 x 29,555 = N975,219 per annum.

LOCATION: Ibadan National Station

REQUISITE QUALIFICATION:

A recognized university degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a recognized professional qualification in Purchasing and Supplies.

EXPERIENCE

At least 8 years post qualification experience in a senior position will be and advantage. Knowledge of current trends in information and communication technology is mandatory.

DUTIES: Responsible to the Controller Stores for the following:

Oversees indents, shipping claims and invoices, local purchases by tenders and contracts, clearance of goods from customs and payment of import duties.


Market testing, inspection and identification of local sources of supply.
SALARY: GL. 12 i.e. N679,669 x 29,555 = N975,219 per annum.

REQUISITE QUALIFICATIONS

A recognized university degree in Marketing, Business Administration or Economics, and possession of a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) and membership of relevant professional bodies will be an advantage.

EXPERENCE

At least 15 years post qualification experience in the relevant field and proven Management training at a senior level. Knowledge of current trends in Information Technology is mandatory.

DUTIES:

Responsible and reports to Director, Lagos Operations.


Formulation and execution of marketing policies
Supervision of entire Marketing Operations


Ensures that proper proposals are made to clients
Liaises with relevant Directorates on marketing matters


Supervision of subordinate staff
SALARY: GL. 16 i.e. N1,425,883 x 57,255 = N1,883,923 per annum.

Implementation and co-ordination of Studio Training Programme


Organisation and supervision of on-station Studio Training Programmes
Conduct of examinations


Reports on courses and examinations.
