,.will Wike not have problems and issues with this acting PDP national chairman as he is from the north and since Wike wants a southerner to be the PDP national chairman

I Tell you!
Very selfish and greedy.
All he does is to hijack structure use it and dump it.

He doesn't know how to build and sustain.
That is why he lacks true loyalists, unlike TINUBU. Even when buhari and his cabals were decimating him to the mockery of all his enemies especially Igbos and Afenifere,he still remain steadfast in APC.

The people Atiku loves using most is Igbo. No matter how bad he uses them, they will still prefer him to TINUBU who never has any business with them.It was Atiku that bullied OBI out of PDP,Na TINUBU them dey hate 😆..Awon dindinrin

To the North again

The same issue remains.

Atiku insisted on the two things while the disagreement persisted:

1. That Ayu would not go as it was too late.
2. That Dapagum, a northerner was the next person to replace Ayu. He said they would remain in the same position of north/north.
Wike and his group insisted that they could work it out and ensure balance of power.

The rest became history, as they say. Ayu lost his PU, ward, local government and state. One may not doubt the claim of his ward exco that Ayu worked for APC. He probably tried to get back at Ortom for not supporting him.

Now Atiku himself could not muster straight victory in his state; maybe he is in Dubai now. Atiku's greed was unbelievable. Now he cannot be the President. Now Atiku can only have plenty of IFs. If only this, if only that. If he unified the party. If he did not contest. If he did not allow Obi and Kwakanso go. If he listened to Wike and co, etc.

The election was PDPs to lose. It was a great opportunity gone.

Now OBIdience is very important. We are now completely and unshakably OBIdient.

At the bolded, it's like you forget how this politics thing works.

As for being Obidients whatever that meant, the same forces that pursued him from PDP are still very much around and trying to stage a comeback plus a SWner is the President elect- all things being equal for the next 8 years. It changes nothing.

A dog that is destined to get lost won't listen the whistle of the Hunter, this is the case of Ayu, Atiku and PDP, something they ought to have done b4 elections. Anyway, all to the benefit of Jagaban Bogu.

Northerners will never support Obi.

And I doubt if PDP will be so stupid to give Obi their ticket.....when they know that the north never forgets.

This strong memory of the north, where has it taken Nigeria to?

Why not rise above primordial sentiments and understand that what we should aspire to is the greater good for everyone.

Why so much disdain?

There's nothing Igbos have done to the Northerners that themselves haven't received multiple doses of.

At a point we have to move on from the events of 1966.

Even though unjust and cruel, Igbos paid a heavy price in the civil war and have continued to be violently targeted in the north (since 1945 btw), and more recently in Lagos.

Last election proves you wrong anyway, Obi got 25% and even won some northern states so maybe you speak for the extremists of the NW.

Same NW region used the middle-belt as pawns between '67 to '70, but now the MB are finally starting to realise who their real enemies are.

Channel your energy and aggression into creating something positive and shed this shameful toga of hate.

Obi lost too. Who says he couldn't be VP for 4 or 8 years and succeed Atiku? He left PDP in a hurry and that wasn't Atiku's fault
Exactly. He's just as power hungry as Atiku and Tinubu

Atiku is not destined to be Nigeria president. This year election should have been his opportunity but he missed out.

Add Obi and Atiku's votes together, Pdp would have won this election convincingly
It doesn't work that way.

Had it been a straight fight between BAT and Atiku, the religion and ethnicity consideration which gave considerable votes to Obi would not have worked for Atiku. In fact, clamor for return of power to the south would have resonated more and favor Tinubu far more. BAT would win such contest far more easily.

I don't think Peter Obi will leave LP anytime soon rather more politicians of repute will consider joining him in labour party.

Are you trying to say that it’s not possible that Ayu worked against Ortom in Benue state? What are you inferring please?

The forces that pursued Obi from PDP did not know that they would make him so prominent in LP. They all admitted. With PDP is disarray since 2014, how will they stage a comeback please?

1. Ayu need not have worked against Ortom, Know Ortom first.

2. Obi's prominence and rise is pyrrhic, of no consequence. Wike is trying to stage a com back into the party leadership (it is what this news is about) and a Southerner in Tinubu is the president, the bulk of the north would rather stick with him than try a greenhorn in Obi who would likely go for another term - elongating the team before the presidency is swapped between the 2 regions.

PDP still has the structure and men, give LP's victory in certain places a few months and it will wear off, eroding a significant % of the gains they've made.
