The Scripts

There is an old Ghanaian proverb that says, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Deborah had always believed in this proverb, as she knew that the support and encouragement of others could help her achieve her dreams. However, there was one person who was not supportive of her dreams: the dream killer.

Deborah had met the dream killer in her village, and at first, she didn't think much of him. But as she began to share her dreams with him, she realized that he had a way of making her feel small and insignificant. He would tell her that her dreams were unrealistic and that she would never be able to achieve them.

At first, Deborah tried to ignore the dream killer's words. But as time went on, she found that his negativity was starting to weigh her down. She began to doubt herself and her abilities, and she started to wonder if the dream killer was right - maybe her dreams were too big.

But then one day, Deborah had an epiphany. She realized that the dream killer was just that - a killer of dreams. He was not interested in helping her achieve her goals, but rather in keeping her small and unambitious. She knew that if she continued to listen to him, she would never be able to achieve her full potential.

So Deborah made a decision. She decided to run away from the dream killer, both literally and figuratively. She cut him out of her life completely, and she also made a conscious effort to surround herself with people who supported her dreams.

Over time, Deborah's dreams began to flourish. She found that when she surrounded herself with positive, supportive people, she was able to achieve more than she ever thought possible. She started her own fashion line, and her designs became wildly popular throughout Ghana.

The lesson that Deborah learned is one that we can all benefit from: surround yourself with people who believe in you and your dreams. There will always be dream killers out there, people who want to tear you down and keep you small. But if you can find a community of people who support and encourage you, you will be unstoppable. So if you want to go far, go together - with people who lift you up, not tear you down.
