What’s the essence of your first paragraph? Your double standard is irritating. See you worshipping and praising Ronaldo in a record breaking thread about Messi…… same you would stylishly drag and slander Messi if a record is broken by Ronaldo. If not for inferiority complex, why the extra effort and energy to ensure Ronaldo is seen and accepted by everyone as the GOAT? When asked by a journalist, Messi once said, he’s happy to be regarded as one of the best in history. I have never heard Messi say, I am the greatest to ever play football but lovers of football, journalists and even retired and serving players & coaches acknowledge him as the best ever. Messi just broke another of his record to become the highest goal scorer in Europe. If we go by your logic, Messi will erase Ronaldo from records book in no distant time cos it looks like Messi can easily break Ronaldo’s record than it is for Ronaldo to break Messi’s.
