You should know that a good policy that's poorly implemented is devastating.

I heard of a man who died clutching 2k old notes because it was not accepted anymore to buy food. My mum fell in a bank and landed in a hospital because she needed cash to buy drugs. She did 2 transfers which were debited but didn't go through to the Chemist's account!

Many have died in hospitals because they only accept cash, did not accept transfers, had no POS as well as no cash. Many shops are closed, many have lost a lot of money due to failed transactions, some perishables have wasted due to no patronage. The cashless system made the economy to suffer extremely.

I know how many harrowing hours I spent before I could pay for needed items. Some trekked for so long, they collapsed and died. So many deaths happened in that cashless era.

Nigeria is so not ready for cashless until other modes of payments are put in place for goods and services.
