For Those Trying To Defend Tinubu's Mandate - Is This True? by Brendaniel: 8:27pm On Apr 11, 2023 |
So I have been seeing individuals and groups saying they must defend Tinubu's mandate that no one can take his mandate and I think I will like to address this issue once and for all in the simplest form. I think it is not right for anyone to say he/she wants to defend Tinubu's mandate and I will explain this: When Anthony Joshua wins a title, the title belongs to him, no one needs to help him defend the title, only Anthony Joshua can defend that title and if Anthony Joshua needs to defend that title, he has to go back to the ring. No amount of protest from his supporters will make him keep the title if he doesn't go back to the ring when there is a challenger waiting for him, if he decides not to fight then the title will be stripped from him. In football it is the same thing that happens, the defending champion might even have to play with the team that fell out at group stage in the last tournament just to defend their title. So back to Tinubu's mandate defenders, Tinubu as it stands today has only 2 ways to defend his mandate, either a re-election or wait for the election tribunal to conclude, for people to come out and try to defend Tinubu's mandate means Tinubu never really got the mandate, they are actually acting as if the election is still on. Because it looks like they are not telling us something or can Argentina win the world cup and Argentines will have to protest to keep the world cup, then something is not adding up. The same applies to those trying to help Peter Obi reclaim his 'stolen' mandate. Unfortunately, only 'what you already possess' can be stolen from you. Comprenez vous? QED 19 Likes 2 Shares |

Tinubu will keep the title for the next 4 years - he will enter the ring as the defending champion in 2027 and retain his title for another 4 years by God's grace. For now, give the champion a break! 7 Likes 1 Share |

Brendaniel: Where do you get all these your infantile ideas from. It really baffles me. How can you compare a political contest with voters that voted their candidate and saying they will defend their candidates victory, that was given to that candidate by the voters, with spectators watching sport for entertainment. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

Brendaniel: Just like obi's own will not make any difference. I understand your pain but in life because your candidate lost today does not mean he would not win another time. Our best bet now is to concentrate on bettering our lives and not fighting a lost cause. This incoming administration might even favor you because no one knows tomorrow. Everything happens for a purpose and your fighting against Tinubu’s victory might actually be you fighting against your breakthrough. Think about it. 1 Like 1 Share |

In my own opinion, Tinubu won the election because none of the other candidates claimed they won or presented evidence of their vote swapped. The only issue I see is if he's qualified to contest or not... If he was not qualified, he should be disqualified and declared the first runner-up as the winner, but both of them did not also meet up the constitution-required vote of 25% in 24 states, so the best is to have a reelection. |

Brendaniel: Brendaniel: That contest is contest doesn't mean you can apply skills required for competitive swimming in a boxing match. Your preferred candidate approached the elections through religious lines and that didn't turn out well. You won a swimming championship, then took it as an ability to compete in boxing. Now, they have removed your teeth, you are wailing, "Referee, see blood, see blood. He has removed my teeth. We don't do this in swimming." 😂 Who does that? 1 Like 1 Share |

Brendaniel:Because the opposition, the loser won't leave the ring quietly with his fans! They keep throwing bottles and weapons; the champion's supporters can't be expected to keep quiet and get broken heads and bloody nose because they won! NO! They have to literally throw it all back to protect themselves! 1 Like |
