Why Tinubu Lost In Abuja And The 25% Conundrum by Birdbyrde440: 9:17pm On Apr 15, 2023
If you have ever been to Abuja you will notice that it is a civilized city without any iota of Ethnic/Religious domination. All people's live in peace and coporation.

There is fluid coporation between the civilians and the armed forces, there is law and order, solid security architecture, a well planned city with good infrastruture and road networks.
Abuja is a well modelled city all thanks to Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

Another thing you have to know about Abuja is that thuggery, rascality, cultism, armed robbery and other vices are at the bearest minimum mainly because of the caliber of people that reside in abuja, you mainly find secondary school drop outs engaging in some form of stubborness, they normally end up in police cell sooner than later. The city is divided into the following sectors:

City centre:
Asokoro, Wuse, Maitama, Utako, Garki, Apo, etc

Suburbs:
Nyanya, Karu, Lugbe, Gwagwalada, Gwarimpa etc

Outskirts:
Abaji, Bwari, Kwali etc

Of all the sectors, the only area where election could be rigged is the outskirts and even that will be a difficult thing to accomplish.
Please imagine a thug or motor park tout walking into Apo legislative quaters or Area 10 or Wuse 2 to snatch ballot box! That thug will LITERALLY not go far in such dangerous endevour.

25% conudrum:

What does the constitution say:
For a person to be declared president, he or she must:

1. Win 25% of the votes in 24 states(out of 36 states) of the federation.
Here, TINUBU QUALIFIES but the results are flawed due to some elements of over voting in some states where he won, the case is for the court to decide.

2. The electoral act goes further to state that in addition to winning 25% of votes in 24 states( out 36 states of the federation) , Tinubu must also win 25% in FCT, Abuja.

24% in 24 states including the FCT.

Is FCT a state?
No, it is The Federal Capital TERRITORY.
i.e the Federal Administrative Territory, carved out from parts of Kaduna, Kwara, Niger, and Plateau states.
There are 36 STATES and The Federal Capital, making 37 in all.

It is the FCT that will be the majorbdeterminant of presidential elections in Nigeria henceforth.

Nawa o, we hardly hear the talk about Tinubu pissing on himself anymore and the pampers thing. This days na 25% analysis full ground. What will be next to hold on to after this 25% will also be entertaining? undecided".

While others were busy with their smear campaign Tinubu was busy strategizing.

While others are busy with their hypothetical analysis of 25% FCT Tinubu is still busy strategizing. grin

Tinubu failed to get 25% in Abuja simply because Abuja has no governor to use state party structures to rig for him
