They asked you question and you parried it. Does Bola Tinubu posseses a Guinean passport? You indirectly refused to answer the question and keep saying it's a path to greatness. So we should just forget about legality and delve into dirty deals so we can get to greatness. Meanwhile, what said here is not true. Ethnic profiling has since departed from Western and even some African politics. Reason a Yoruba man is a mayor there 1 Like |

But Mr Fashola, a former Lagos governor, said on Channels TV Sunday night that people must learn to accept the new reality of divisive politics. Fashola's use of inelegant language here is frightfully worrying. Whatever happened to the cerebral mind of yesteryears? You don't legitimise identity politics or the so-called culture wars, you elevate the discourse instead. |

ekolobaba:You guys talk any how?… what can he do?. There is no law that he will make that will directly or indirectly affects other people. Lagos is a cosmopolitan state just like in New York. As time goes on, more people will move in and with time, other tribes will state ruling. Expect that in future. Population is growing. 1 Like 2 Shares |

If you promoting divisive politics what’s the use of one Nigeria?if the idea is to disintegrate you can encourage divisive politics,,but if you want to integrate there’s no place for identity politics ,the uk and USA are enjoying the benefits of integration ,whose benefiting from this divisive and identity politics ,it’s the crooked rulers that have failed our people. 1 Like |

The Op has twisted what Fashoola said in the interview ...and this is how bad an average Yiibo people are.... Fashoola in his interview with Seun Okinbaloye of Channel TV promptly disapproved the use of tribal engagement in politics .....and give an instance of one of his cousin who is a Yiibo man..and this op came here to still form illogical conclusion. About Fashola comments What a wicked soul! 7 Likes 1 Share |

jaytimeo:You know that you are being dodgy if you suggest that insisting on protecting the dorminant political view of your communal land is not one Nigeria. Please what kind of politics is here in Agulu result but Yoruba should not identify as your host in Lagos their ancestral land? If our forebears and parents had not bequeated Lagos to us what will you meet when you came down to Lagos? The population of Lagos Colony was analysed into 'Yoruba' and 'Non-Yoruba' tribes: 1. Eko tribe had fallen from 57% in 1872 to 23.6% 20 years later. 2. Popo or Egun tribe was 15.85%, 3. Other Yoruba groups Oyo - 11.6% Ijebu - 11.01% Awori - 9.26% Egba - 6.05% Ijesha - 4.32% Egbado - 3.63% Ekiti/Efon people - 1.76% 4. Non-Yoruba groups Nupe/Tapa - 1.86% Hausa - 1.86% The Kru - 1.37%. The obligation to ensure that our heritage of choosing the best ONLY among the Yoruba to govern Lagos is not negotiable. The Igbo do so even to xenophobic extent as no non Igbo can even contest for election in Igboland. That was the reason even the vote of the APC and PDP agent in Agulu was erased. Erased to project the dorminant political view of Agulu by people who identify themselves as Igbo. Yoruba will do same to project power of the dorminant people of Lagos who identify themselves as Yoruba. HE Fashola is absolutely right and the politics of Lagos will no longer be made attractive to our Igbo brothers and sisters. Those Igbo who hate and resent us yet live on our land will not be blessed by our land same way any Yoruba man in Igboland who hate and resent the Igbo will not be blessed by Igboland . This collective decision is to free our Igbo brothers and sisters so they can focus on a higher priority of ensuring they have good governance in Igboland and reverse the social liability of forceful economic migration from Igboland to all parts of Nigeria and the world. check my signature for free stuffs! 9 Likes 2 Shares

Whose really benefiting from tribalism ?even with all the tribalism as a race and a people have we evolved ,what’s the difference between tribalism and racism, what do we stand to profit by been tribalistic ,can we say tribalism has helped improve the lives of Africans what are the dangers of tribalism. Same blood different casing body doesn’t have a problem, you can sit eat and do business with each other but it’s your mind and thought that makes you feel you feel your life is different from that of another man ,youths that claim woke and wise can’t see who’s benefiting from this old order. jaytimeo:Tribalism is not the problem. It is hypocrisy and covetiousness that are the problem. The Yoruba will not do diiferent from the way you Igbo do. The problem is that you are being hypocritical when you hold your own resources yet want to snatch another person's own. If you allow people thrive and own land in your Igboland, appoint them as Commissioners and vote for them then you are on a high moral ground to make demands or complain if the Yoruba do not reciprocate your gesture. The problem now is that you do not allow Non Igbo thrive in your land and the Yoruba say they will have none of it anymore. The solution is to give the Yoruba what you want then now place a demand. If you do not do that then there is nothing wrong if the Yoruba demand you do so. That is the point we are now. The Yoruba are particularly upset with Igbo who live among us yet hate us on our own land.Haba!! Identity politics becomes absolutely necessary to ensure you Igbo go back home and be nice to the Yoruba in your land then come back let us now discuss. Identity politics is not same as tribalism. It is a domain of power and it is used everywhere. The LGBTQ+ are now a political group in the west yet they are not all from same race. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

So what Fashola is implying is that it is global practices and trend that Bayo Onanuga, FFK, MC Oluomo, his thugs and hoodlums engaged in ethnic profiling, voter suppression, killing, maiming and destruction of lives and properties of individuals believed to be from a particular ethnic group because they have or made a different democratic choice. Fashola might also be consuming the stuffs Tinubu is notorious for |

If I tell you am not ibo and am from SW you would never believe, if our leaders were doing the right thing and waking up to their responsibilities who would complain, thuggery in edo was tackled head on by the government and it brought about balance in the polity just an example of where our leadership seem to be failing we have uneducated non state actors managing government we have people who are not qualified in position because of nepotism,I think our leaders have failed because they know they can fall back on tribalism. jaytimeo:You are still not getting it. This is the hypocrisy I mentioned that you are repeating. If you are from SW as claimed then you should know that real power reside with even those not in govt and not even with the names you read on the pages of newspapers. Go and read my previous posts slowly to understand why I reminded you that the problem is hypocrisy and you are displaying it again. Nobody has time for tribalism. It is the covetiousness and hypocrisy of our non-Yoruba fellow Nigerians living among us that is causing the Yoruba people to recaliberate power and retain it in identity politics in this case. 1 Like |

All this words you used seems like some intellectual lecture made to confuse, Omo’ Ale and what not who’s the real Yoruba man? Some even say Akure is a different type of Yoruba illaje ain’t Yoruba enough,we really don’t know what we are joking with in this 21st century we are segregating each other smh ,the intellect which is rooted in identity would continue to divide it would not just end with the Igbos we would eventually divide ourselves within our communities and families, don’t worry mark my words and you would see where this identity politics would take us to . FreeStuffsNG: Differenciate between identity and tribe. A Yoruba man that refuses to leave his domain and make venture into other parts of Nigeria for economic prosperity. Well, your identity/tribal politics is approved. Meanwhile don't think you have done any Igbo man any favour. The Igbos survived through trade and commerce and whatever they got in Lagos was exchanged for their hard earned money. I wonder the day persons like you will stop your obsession of tribal affiliation. You carry Igbo matter for head too much even when it's obvious that the topics you delves into does not have ethnic or tribal colouration. |

Isobug: You have to look at the profile of electorate that voted the Yoruba to victory to say if there was ethnic profiling or not. Thats key! Just because Yoruba won does not mean ethnic profiling did not play into it. As Fashola correctly said, identity is a currency around the world. BLM was about identity. Russia invading Ukraine is about identity. Finland and Switzerland protesting their choice to join NATO is about identity. BREXIT is about identity. 1 Like 1 Share |
