Transcorp that is a dead conglomerate.

A very dead brand from the onset.

Femi, has some old accumulations from Nigeria's crude reserves but he is not so much a wise investor.

He was a FBN, and he left. . Where is his outlay in Forte/AP?

He got his significant wealth from the oil block that FG allocated to him. . Not that he was so inventive or creative.

What is your networth?

1. Bernaut and family is about $240+BN, while Elon musk is about $180+BN. The difference here, Omo.

2. Even though Baba is retired, Bill Gates is still amongst top 10 richest men.

3. Zuckerberg is somewhere around 15th, this used to be in top 10. Omo.

4. I found the female gender amongst top 10.

The Otedolas fit dey like 1000 Omo.

FO has taken Transcorp from Tony Elumelu.

The diversified conglomerate’s 273,104,041 issued share capital was owned by Mr Elumelu, chairman of Transcorp Corporation, according to the audited result and accounts for the period ended December 31, 2022.

For more than 10 years, TOE could have bought more Transcorp shares.

I am surprised at how little his shares are in a company with almost 40 billion free float where he is the Chairman since 2012. Haba!

Having more shares in your own company is the best proof that you have a skin in the game.

LOL. If you really understand how public companies work in Nigeria, you wouldn't put a kobo in any. It's not about what you own, its about what you can control.

You really must think you are counselling a newbie wink
If you want controlling units of a listed company EVERYWHERE in the world, you must own a controlling percentage. Nowhere in the world where capitalism rules that you will get anything fair wink

Otedola is second largest shareholder after Tony Elumelu who through UBA nominee limited a private company own by Elumelu control 9.25 shares in Transcorp, Tony Elumelu also through Heirs holdings control another 3.5 shares in Transcorp
Either Heirs or UBA nominee, none is fully owned by Elumelu. He just has shares in them reason Otedola singularly owns the largest share in Transcorp.

Mr man don't come here to spill trash abeg.

So with your sense now Tony is not Igbo like you will say Ngozi okonjo Iweala Is not Igbo because Abacha created a non existed zone called South South and place them there. and back to the matter Is it a Yoruba man that will bear Tony Onyemaechi Elumelu, his last two name apart from Tony is Igbo oo Onyemaechi meaning who knows tomorrow in Igbo..

So now I won't argue with you if you will claim he is not Igbo but I will accept the fact that Bukola Saraki and Smart Adeyemi from Kwara and Kogi respectively are not Yoruba because they're in the north.

Point of correction:

NO Igbo of Delta origin....ALL Deltans irrespective of name and language are from BENIN including Eze Chima( founder of ANIOMA- ANIOCHA, NDOKWA, IKA, OSHIMILI+ MA)...

Eze Chima is a pure BENIN man ... Name and language to a Deltan/ Edo( From Bendel) does not and has never indicated one's origin.

Case study is if u need bursary from Delta State as a student in one of the tertiary institutions in Nigeria and claim you are an indigenous Igbi, Omo- NO Shishi... You will be asked where your family comes from and if you say ANIOMA-, then u will state where in ANIOMA, possibly claiming your mum's side if your dad is Igbo.

Igbos have entered many decades ago in Delta( we also have Princes in Onitsha ie Obi of Onitsha ), kinsmen), BUT they met aboriginals from BENIN Kingdom( present day Deltans).... There is NOTHING the Oba of Benin will want to do without specially inviting his Princes in diaspora( Delta State)...

The closer the Aniomas are to a place, the stronger or dimmer the Igbo language in their native language eg Ika is closer to Benin and Asaba is closer to the East.

Tony Elumelu, Ngozi ( Igbo ONLY by marriage), Jim Ovia( Zenith), Nduka Obaigbena are all sons and daughters of Bendel State.... Even NGO's Ogwashukwu, u hear titled men bearing Iyase....

We ANIOMAS are NOT from Nri.... We claim Igbo for acceptance and because we are very peaceful people wherever we call home.... Mind u, Delta State( the big heart state) is almost like the most welcoming state( like a 'new site' from the homeland of Benin) and VERY welcoming. Anybody from any tribe fits in easily as we have tribes with semblance to the 3 major tribes including the Igala ones( semblance to Hausa)....

Hoping this puts to rest all this unnecessary debates that Deltans hate to go into( mind you, we have historic evidences of WHERE we are from).

Peace.

Say Femi Otedola was igbo, he will be the wealthiest, even if the next 2 richest combined their wealth, it will not be sufficiently up to his.

Mind you, cc: Gerrad59, Anthony Elumelu from Delta State is not igbo, just like you are not British because you speak some form of the English language.

Even Nigeria been a member of the commonwealth of nations, still doesn’t make you English Nigerian.

Some people just gloat in their own ignorance, who told you that Femi Otedola doesn’t have shares in an oil block? If someone had told you last week that Femo was the largest private shareholder in Transcorp, would you have believed?

Or if you were informed prior to last year that Femi Otedola was the highest shareholder in FBN, wouldn’t you have argued and said it was Oba Otudeko?

There is absolutely no issues between Yorubas and igbo when it comes to business or socials. This is because in these areas both sides can win.
A win - win situation does not cause conflict.
POLITICS is diffrent ballgame. One side winning in politics is tartamount to the other side losing
honestly, there can NEVER BE ANY FORM OF POLITICAL ALLIANCE BETWEEN YORUBAS AND IGBOS.
Check history and tell me any record of an enduring POLITICAL ALLIANCE between igbos and any tribe!
Not even with people of the old eastern region. The nature of igbo politics is responsible for this.
