kids what are u doing here? you that suppose to be scratching your father's back..Don't you know is part of political level game or you are draft? when almost all contestants in APC step down for TINUBU..You did not see anything wrong there abi? hypocrite.. Internal politics is different from national politics and it is not won by emotions but by your political sagacity and permutation

It does now. It is now in our electoral law, defect to another party and lose your seat. But in this case, the judge had this below to hide under:
The Justice stated that since the Supreme Court has not set aside the judgement of the appellate court holding that governors cannot forfeit their seats on grounds of defection, the judgement of the appellate court remains binding on the lower courts.
I don’t know why the supreme courts takes so long to take decisions on important matters, the defection matter and VAT matter are still hiding in the courts. Those judges must be very lazy with all the entitlement they get. Someone once suggested we should decentralize the Supreme Court, maybe the next government should look at that idea again

There's nothing in the new electoral law that says defection of a member of the executive is a ground for sacking. I challenge you to quote any section from the electoral act here.

Besides, even if it's captured in the electoral act, it's null and void because it will be against the provisions of the constitution. Issues of defections of executive and legislators are well spelt out in the constitution. Any other law that goes against it, is null and void.
