Not jealousy but Greed.

The Aguda recommendation says once FG want to vacate a property owned by it in Lagos, Lagos State has the First Right of refusal. Meaning, Lagos should be notified and it is only when they don't want it, that is when it is open to all comers.

In many Cases, Once FG vacate a property, most Officials actually want those property and because they can't get it, they stall, they delay hoping for a change in policy so as to grab it for they have the money.

That is why many abandoned FG properties litters Lagos. Go to Bar Beach, Federal Secretariat, National Theatre and many others of such in Lagos.

It belongs to the federal government, not state government, that's why it's called national stadium. The one that belongs to Lagos state government is Teslim Balogun Stadium and it is well maintained.

There should be no sentiment involved. Likelihood of Nigeria having a League that's buoyant enough to properly make use of that edifice in the next 10years is almost zero.

As at today that stadium is resulting in negative cashflow to the FG. And with our current economic malaise, we should be keeping assets thats resulting in negative cash flow.
