I happen to have gone to fggc Onitsha where one particular northern classmate could not even say one English word so clearly could not have done the exams. She spent 2 years in every class before being moved up to the next grade. All her children are now educated professionals. Even medical doctor self. Contrary to what some believe all of the other Northerners were at similar levels of education to us southerners.

Equality is not about treating everyone the same but giving people the right tools for them as we are only as good as our weakest link.

There are community and state schools so everyone had an opportunity to attend but at the federal level they had an opportunity to carry out social experiment that I think has been a great tool in fostering unity cos most have seen that most tribes are just simple beings looking for ways to calve out a living for themselves.

Unity schools are not set up as excellence centres or with a competitive ethos.
Their primary purpose is UNITY even the motto is the same for all except Kings College and Queens College which were not founded by government. So all that talk of different cut off is blackmail. By definition they must be quota system. That is what they are for. The constitutional responsibility for secondary school education is with the state government
If ECOWAS decides to set up.unity schools they will have to be quota system no matter how brilliant candidates from one country might be.
