Igbo people voted for Yoruba man Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003. They voted for Yar Adua, a northerner in 2007. They voted for Goodluck Jonathan, Ijaw south-south in 2011 and 2015. They voted for Atiku, a northerner in 2019.

It is only when they voted for someone from their tribe for the first time that is now tag nzogbu nzogbu politics.
Igbophobia is the reason most of you won't vote for a candidate from the southeast.

You voted for your dear party, and even at that, Yoruba has returned the favour by voting for Peter Obi...

It is as simple as that. They can contest this and debate all day as they want, it won't change the fact and the reality. The choice is theirs. When they aligned with the North pre-independence and before the Civil War, the Yorubas and the South-South learned bitter lessons but they got to understand the system more. You just have to build alliances, there is no short cut. Above all, they need to caution their mouths by enlightening the crude ones who think being learned means ability to speak and write in English, astute political structures are watching them.

Deliberate attempt by who? We are in a democracy where whoever gets the most votes rule. We are also multi ethnic so you have to reach out to groups outside yours

Who rules Nigeria is determined by how much you are able to convince voters all over Nigeria of different ethnicity to support your ambition. Any candidate with the most votes become president

There are different strategies to achieve that in a multi ethnic society

Some do it by building bridges, Others do it by insulting people to vote them

You can spend the next 8yrs either building bridges and reaching out to ethnic groups outside yours, or you can spend the next 8yrs insulting them

The results await you in 2031

Need to tell GB. It's GB that holds one Nigeria that includes the Igbo. It's not the power of the Hausa-Fulani or power of combination of ethnic groups in Nigeria that keep Igbo in the most dysfunctional country in the world, Nigeria.
Let the Igbo exit Nigeria for their own country, thereafter, let Nigeria kukuma grab the oil and gas deposits in the non-Igbo SS region in Nigeria.

South south that's solidly loyal to south west.
States like Edo & Delta have the two top traditional rulers whose roots are direct to southwest. I mean Oba of Benin & Olu of Warri.

I think the greatest PDP undoing is their inability to field an Easterner as the party’s presidential flag bearer.

This is nothing but the truth. Wether Nigerians like it or not, an Igbo Presidency is the only way forward for Nigeria to witness a 360° turn around. Wether igbos rule Nigeria or not, they have absolutely nothing to lose and will continue to remain above other region in education, business, wealthy and lot more.
I wonder how someone that doesn't recognize Nigeria as a country will be fighting for presidency. If igbo want to be president, they should work for it. Work together with north cos the only fear factor is greed on the part of igbo. So make people have trust in u and things will fall into places at long run

So what are you going to do about your perceived Igbophobia to change your situation?

1. Find out why, with 100% sincerity and by looking in the mirror.
2. Why Igbophobia out of over 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria?
3. Find solutions: rebuild trust, form better strategic alliances, or just secede.
4. If you choose to secede, now is the time to practically demonstrate this by moving enmass from other parts of Nigeria back to your states of origin.

But they must do it the right way....
As long as it's politics, they'll come to realise the dirt in the making .
Obama, a black, first in America, played dirty too.
However, it takes the unity, humility and uncanny understanding to forge alliances with most tribes which they enjoy to be entrusted .....
No doubt, their greatness precedes them, but charity must begin at home
So many greats are Igbo......
Time shall tell

The richest countries in the world have no natural resources.
Switzerland is the richest country in Europe but it has no natural resources, it's landlocked and mountainous.
But because of crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger delta region, some Nigerian groups clutch tight to a sinking ship because the ship is carrying valuable goods. They blackmail others who want to escape from the sinking ship. They want everyone on board the ship to drown, because of their long throat for the valuable goods in the ship.
Tufiakwa!!!
Oyibo people don't form multi ethnic and multi religious country because Oyibo knew such countries don't thrive because of diverse value systems.

Their level of political illiteracy is shocking. You spent almost 24 years sleeping with PDP with nothing to show for it and now you are shouting Igbophobia? Please look in the mirror and stop blaming others. Yorubas and other Nigerians should be brutally honest with you. Learn politics or ship out, no one will miss you. You need to hear that going forward until you learn to take responsibility for your actions.

StOla:
You mean Igbos failed in PDP despite the unalloyed support over the years?

Or you were expecting a miracle in APC that Igbos have rejected over time?

Most of our politicians know the truth, but when it comes to demonstrating it, they get stuck. If somebody like Mr Ikpeazu can put up a five star performance within his eight years rule, the track record will be there to justify his speech and assertions. But now as it were, talk is cheap and everyone will group his opinion as one of them even if he's saying the bitter truth.
Reason we all need to work for posterity and not for present personal pecuniary gain or prosperity.

Igbo knw more about Nigerians than the patriotic Nigerians

Since 2015 Igbo believe that Buhari would sideline TINUBU😂
After 2019 election, Igbo believed that Buhari will never hand over power to Tinubu 😂
Toward the 2023 election Igbo come to realize that Hausa/Fulani would never leave their own and vote for SW 😂
Then suddenly Igbo believe the New Naira policies is a measure to stop Asiwaju from vote buying therefore enhancing Atiku and Obituary Chances of winning 🤣
Then Igbo started the narration that the Abeokuta burstup is a great set back for Asiwaju bcs cabals are not happy with him 😂
Then Igbo taught us that Amaechi or Jonathan are the choice of Buhari 😂🤣
Then the story changed that El-Rufai and Ganduje are secretly working for Atiku but just deceiving Asiwaju 🤣😂😀
Then the election came and gone 😀😂

Then they never realized that a man who God has blessed there is no magnitude of enemies or propagandas that can stop him
..

Lol! Now he is a citizen of Guninea Bissau. They are displaying foolishness with pride🤣🤣

We will never witness an Igbo president until the igbos respect themselves, respect others, denounce hating everything, learn how to share, change their greedy/ selfish disposition, embrace being honest, and replace sentiments/ emotions with a sensible strategy.

You can luxuriate in the likes you are hankering for all you like...

Moreso, you can weave together sundry strands of meaninglessness from dawn to dusk but don't forget that injustice and inequity will precipitate their consequences eventually...

All you narrow-minded people only operate and reason in the short run...

The evil seed you are sowing today will be reaped by you and your forthcoming generations...

Power will come to the Igbos eventually and I hope that when an Igboman elects to ensure that the Igbos do a 16 year stint at the presidency, you will not demonize them...

Or do you think it is impossible?
