This why i rate burna boy above all this artist because he doesn't have one style of song all the time.
Burna sings in Yoruba too.
You don't understand the logic.
If you wanna control Lagos market, you v to bring in the Yoruba language flow.
Ask Timaya and M.I what they faced around 2010. Moreso, he mixes English language too. All the pop artists use English and their native language.
So what's the fuss about Asake's own?
Name any artiste except Favour and Phyno that doesn't use Yoruba. Name it!
Phyno and Flavour too use Igbo so local dialect can't be erased.
Dexy4yah:

There are artist that doesn't use Yoruba na....oma lay, rema, tems, and they are doing very well.
Should I bring out Yoruba words in their music?
All you mentioned are singing in sync with Lagos trend. All use various yoruba words. Maybe you don't know that southwest is in charge of media/entertainment in Nigeria.

Because Lagos State is the commercial hub and financial epicenter of the country, Yoruba language has become so popular.

However, Hausa is the most spoken and by far the most popular language in the country.
It remains unclear how Hausa people made states that are dominated by other tribes to speak their language.

Nobody cares bro, just sing.

Nigerian music doesn't have any meaningful lyrics . Apart from only a handful singer like Asa, Tuface, and few others.

When we want quality lyrics we don't listen to Nigerian music.

What you all sing is noise, rhythms, beat

I'm proud of you for using your dialect to hit the globe.

No need to explain anything music is like football you don't need to speak Germn or French or English to be a football, the game is universal language. When Awilo from Congo came we danced it, Youssoudu of Senegal we danced it, Mr gnanam style from China we danced it, during celin Dion era she sang some of her hit in French we go craze for it so Mr Asake ride on.

Yoruba is a beautiful romantic language. Proud to be born Yoruba. There are millions of Yoruba speaking people.
Everyone is proud of where he is from. Afterall if you don t like it , you don’t have choice.

God never consults anyone in choosing your ethnicity or parents

Good music can be in any land. Once music is good, it doesn't matter the language it was song with.

Gifted singer. I'm Igbo but love the guy's music regardless. If he does make the transition into pidgin or English the guy go over cash out.

Organise!

Some of us are wise(APC),but every other person over wise(LP).

Asake is musically creative and he is unique.

I like his play with words and usage of proverbs in his music.

The most unwise people on earth are people now struggling to renew the mandate of APC to continue to rule them, after APC reduced Nigeria to become a country harboring the largest number of poor and hungry people in the world, the poverty capital of the world, as well as one of the most terrorised countries in the world.

Yoruba language sounds horrible when singing. It's sounds like animals making noise. No offense
Just listen to Seyi vibes
Yoruba sounds very trash on songs

But only asake has been able to make good song with Yoruba. It's still shock me how he does it

Igbo is the best
Igbo sounds sexy and flirty in songs
Listen to Love Nwantiti by C.Kay

Hausa sound kinda cool with their autotune voice

I'm Delta but I love phyno and asake

Delta is not an ethnic group. Either you are Igbo, Ika, Ukwuani, Urhobo, Isoko, Ijaw or Itsekiri.
