How can you say this:

However, going through the list, it was discovered that there was no Igbo person, a development that had generated reactions across political party lines in Igbo land.

Then say this:
Ohanaeze is not in a hurry to recognise Tinubu as the President-elect because any house built on a faulty foundation is bound to collapse.

“We believe that the process of the 2023 presidential election is still on.

“The voting has been done and the court has taken over and until the outcome of the court process is known, we cannot take a stand on the 2023 election.”

Why do they want to be part of the inauguration committee of a president they are yet to recognise as president?

I think these people are inherently bipolar and they suffer from PTSD.

Then again, I don’t blame them - I blame people that allowed their victim mentality without checking them - thus making them very entitled.

Who doesn't know that Tinubu hated igbos with Passion.

Tinubu hates igbos but Buhari is a Tribal bigot who hates Igbos with everything in his body.

Buhari is not worthy to be called a president of Nigeria, he is full with hatred against igbos.

If Buhari sees poison he will poison all the Igbos in Nigeria.

Buhari is the most Tribalistic bigotry president in the history of Nigeria.

Know this and know peace

And yet, the same Buhari delivered second Niger Bridge to you after starting it from the scratch. Something that your darling son, Jonathan failed miserably to give you.

Apart from the first republic when we had the same Zik as a parliamentary president and Aguiyi’s small stint as HOS, no igbo has led this country. That is the undeniable fact.

You mention CBN governorship positions, ministerial positions and legislative positions and assume that should be enough for a whole region in 5 decades?

For a region that suffered mass destruction during the war, a national redevelopment fund should have been established for the ravaged areas since 1970.

The ports, roads, industrial hubs and potential technological advancements in the east have not been developed as much as they should.

The Igbos were initially the clerical and administrative hub of old Nigeria and were the bulk of intellectuals in the railways, ferries, government agencies and ministries. The civil war led to the death of many of this cadre and Nigeria slowly entered into a period of intellectual rot. The quota system did not help matters.

Igbos survived through trading, not by choice but as as a second option. If the civil war has not started and the embarrassing quota system was not introduced , the corps of intellectuals lost could have pushed us towards development and made us the real giant of Africa.

If you feel the Igbos are not marginalized, have you tried to consider what your response would have been if a Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani has never ruled this country since inception?

If those Igbo Majors who plotted and executed the unfortunate and Ill-advised January 15 1966 coup had not spared their own kinsmen like Azikiwe, Michael Okpara, Aguiyi Ironsi, contrary to the planning stage agreement that all politicians in the Azikiwe-Balewa Government be liquidated; or better still if they had not plotted the coup at all in the first instance but allow Nigerian voters change the government democratically by themselves regardless of how difficult it could have been to do so through the ballot box; the war and all other events that came with it would have been totally avoided hence our history as a country would have been spared of that avoidable genocide and the failed state status of Nigeria today. So anyhow you look at it, Igbos sparked off the conflagration which ended up consuming them and also consuming the promising future Nigeria had at independence.

This is a sorry story, I said this before the election, you don't put all your eggs in a basket, this is the end result. You can not eat your cake and have it. Tinubu Is not in a nature of ethnic bigotry, he will do the needful anyway.

Because of crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger Delta.

This your choice of always bringing Niger Delta oil into every issue is simply disingenuous. And by the way, Niger Delta oil would have been for Niger Deltans alone had your brother Ironsi never tampered with the Independence Constitution.

You are right on the fact that they should build more diplomatic bridges.

But you forget that trauma leaves a mark of distrust in the victims.

If your parents lost all their family in a war in 1969 before you were born, i am sure you might have some little resentment against the people who killed them especially if those wounds have not been properly treated.

This is the main reason why terrorism still exists in the north and Palestine is still a hot bed. As long as the underlying factors are not resolved, the problem will just regenerate.

You assume i am not using my brain. I have nothing to say to that.

You seem not to be aware that the war itself was the climax of the unprovoked murder of some other tribes' dearly loved and highly revered leaders by Igbos. Put yourself in the shoes of Northerners in the context of losing their cream de la cream leaders like Ahmadu Bello, Tafawa Balewa, Aborgo Largema, Gwam Pam, etc to death through the bullets of some Igbo boys whom these leaders were old enough to father and see if you would have reacted differently.

No better senses in you to tell you that you are not supposed to belong in the same country with the Igbos.
Parasitism life in your blood makes you depend on proceeds from crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger delta. Therefore you see Igbo as inseparable from sharing one country with you.

Azikiwe and Igbos generally were the originators of the philosophy that Nigeria unity is perpetual and non-negotiable. They even instigated the Colonial Authority to threaten with charges of treason all those proposing the provision in the Independence Constitution a clause by which any part of the country would easily exit the union without a single gunshot or bloodshed. So why are you talking as if Nigeria was cemented together by other tribes just to punish Igbos?

21st century.
------------------
1999-2001, the 12 far northern Nigeria states adopted unconstitutional Islamic sharia criminal laws because their people have different value systems from rest of Nigeria.
-------------------------------

Even if what you wrote is true, why do some of you still live in the expired world of the Azikiwes and the colonial masters? Azikiwe was on his own to rule a big country, your inclusion of Igbos to Azikiwe is your figments of imagination. He never consulted with Igbos.

Don't you see that the richest countries of the world in the 21st century have no crude oil and gas deposits, and indeed, have no mineral resources?

Don't you see that the Europeans don't tolerate multi ethnic or multi religious country in Europe? Switzerland had its 3 ethnic groups agree beforehand for a governance system. Belgium of two ethnic groups has been the most politically unstable country in Europe. UK of the English, Wales, Scots and Irish share common value systems.
Don't you see that nationhood CAN NEVER emerge in a country with ethnic and religious groups that don't share common value systems?
From Day 1, the colonial masters created Nigeria, they expressed doubts the country would survive. Diverse ethnic and religious groups forced to form one country is a ticket to failure. That's why most African countries fail.

I don’t comprehend the issue here, am not Igbo but if they refer a departure from Nigeria, why can’t they let them go. You hate them but still want them with you.
Do they themselves really want to go? If they are sincere about their exiting Nigeria, they would have simply distanced themselves from the last election. How could you be so interested in the election of a country you sincerely don't want to belong to anymore? And by the way, which people killed the motion for secession clause in 1954 parliamentary proceedings? Which tribe promulgated the Anti-secession Decree and got Isaac Adaka Boro sentenced to death by hanging for trying to break his Niger Delta Region away from Nigeria? You think it was Hausafulanis or Yorubas?

To start with, you not only hate Tinubu, you did not vote for him and you are yet to recognize him as the winner and the presidential election and you are even yet to congratulate him so where is the sense and wisdom in trying to be part of what you are yet to respect and acknowledge.

These are the weirdest and the most aimless, clueless, thoughtless, and self-destructive people on the surface of the earth.

Whi wants to do business or associate with these unstable, gutless, and collectively redundant people?

Even if Igbos worked for Buhari or Tinubu,Igbos would still be served chilled soaked slice of bread. The envy is ubiquitous.

They should keep striving like Peter Obi did rather than resort to self pity. Blacks fought with Malcolm X and co to emerge with Barack Obama after several years. There is something they are not telling us about the Igbos in the country.

Azikiwe did all he did as an elected parliamentarian in a democratic government thus he acted and spoke on behalf of Igbos as far as representative democracy is concerned. Did Azikiwe vote himself into that parliament? If his speeches and deeds didn't represent the position of you Igbos, then why isn't there in history any record of Igbos moving motion for his recall from that parliament? You can't just claim he wasn't representing you yet you allowed him continue having a field day pushing those his ideas which you now claim were against your position.

Whatever the Igbos are experiencing is well earned.
When you think everyone treats you badly, it’s time you look inwards.
There are South South communities where it is forbidden to sell land to an Igbo person. There are North Central communities where it is forbidden to marry an Igbo person. So it isn’t South West or North alone that have issues with the Igbos.

You still got stuck with the expired world of the Azikiwes and the colonial masters, but refused to address the pertinent issues I raised regarding nationhood.

The Roman Empire held with military force in Rome extended throughout northern Africa and western Asia. But it was dysfunctional, like Nigeria.
Many decades of the Roman empire passed, before real men not glued to parasitic lifestyle, decided that the Roman empire must go down for the well-being of the citizens of the countries in the empire.
In most dysfunctional Nigeria of diverse ethnic and religious groups, your lot got glued to cheap proceeds from crude oil and gas in one part of Nigeria, for which you crave continuation for Nigeria as a sovereign country. The 220 million people in Nigeria suffer the consequences of operations in a dysfunctional country from which a few politicians amass wealth.
You don't see, like people in the old Roman empire saw, that what matters to one about one's country is how happy and contended one is about one's country, not how rich or big one's country is.

All these marginalization of a Major ethnic group out of jealousy and unfounded hatred will only facilitate further division & balkanization of the country.

Buhari did it and his govt was a failure; anyone that does same MUST SURELY FAIL...

Igbos are the quality engine that drives this country and anywhere they go...

Hate Igbos at your own peril; IGBOS DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR STUPID HATRED ON THEM...

Since the rest of Nigeria do not want MERIT, EQUITY, JUSTICE & FAIRENESS, yet, they claim they want One Nigeria, such will never happen...

Nonmatter how the economy of Nigeria gets destroyed by this clueless haters of the Igbos, an average Igboman will always survive better than any other person in Nigeria.

Ethno-tribal & religious bigotry will definitely kill NIGERIA, if the haters of the Igbos refuse to have some sense.
