Tucker Gets Job Offer With Massive Salary

A competitor to Fox News has reportedly offered Tucker Carlson a salary roughly three times higher than what he was previously earning as the highest-rated cable news host.

“One America News,” also known as OAN, would be willing to pay $25 million, according to the Times of San Diego.

OAN is based in California, which is also Carlson’s home state.

“It would be great if we could get Tucker!” OAN CEO and Robert Herring told the outlet. “I might give him around $25 million. And he would be well worth that!”

It’s unclear if Herring’s offer was an annual payment or a longer deal.

A statement from OAN’s Twitter confirmed that their CEO has extended “an invitation to Carlson to meet for negotiation.”

Carlson’s annual salary with Fox News was around $8 million. If Herring’s offer is annual, this would be over three times greater.

A reporter from The Daily Mail tracked down Carlson at his $5.5 million home in Boca Grande, Florida. Carlson was videotaped while driving a golf cart with his wife.

When asked about “parting ways” with Fox News, Carlson joked, “Retirement is going great so far.”

“I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years,” Carlson said while driving to dinner with his wife.
