This judgement does not weigh the offence committed .

If someone makes an attempt to acidify another person or the act is already perpetuated, such person is said to have committed a felony offence, hence the aftermath punishment must be severe.

Our criminal justice is weak indeed. For causing these injuries, just seven years? What message is the judgement sending. This should carry life imprisonment of course. The two ladies injured are children of some parents. So why the leniency. The case should be retired or there should be an appeal.

For all the people shouting 7 years, you have to understand that the sentence is based on the charge.

He was not charged for attempted murder.

He was charged for grievous bodily harm (section 245).

7 years is the sentence for greivous bodily harm which covrs cases of mild acid attack.
