Wilson Oruma is part of the Nigerian U-23 dream team that defeated Brazil in the semi-finals of the Atlanta 96 Olympic Games in the USA

Former Olympic gold medalist and Super Eagles midfielder Wilson Oruma are in the news again for the wrong reason.

Oruma is reportedly hospitalized and lying in a precarious situation according to the Nigeria-based outlet Punch.

The 1996 Atalanta Olympic winner during his prime years played in some of Europe’s recognized clubs, especially in the French Ligue 1 and Swiss League

He featured for the likes of Olympic Marseille, Sochaux, Lens, and Guingamp in the Ligue 1 and was also on the payroll of Servette in Switzerland.

However, 27 years after he made Nigeria proud in the United States of America, at the Atalanta 96 Olympics, the former international is lying helplessly ill.
