I noticed one thing among other Africans that is missing in most Nigerians. Other Africans tend to be contended with want they have and not too keen in flashy lifestyle. For instance, when you dress modest and spend according to your earning like buying motorcycle as transportation means, Nigerians would call you poor and disrespect you. Your neighbor would feel like he has more money than you, so he can oppress you. You can never see this happening in Benin, Senegal and other west African countries.

Our leaders respresent the majority lifestyle of most Nigerians.

If you look at our leaders, you would agree with me that they behave like most Nigerians who have access to power and wealth. They like to oppress, disregard rules and regulations and show flashy lifestyle. Other African countries, rule of law is supreme. The leaders are first the respecter of the law, then the citizens do same.

Our security force personnels are the typical Nigerian behavior, who doesn't have money, but has power of gun to oppress and steal from you. They are willing tool for hire for oppression and extortion. Most African security force are modest and respected by the citizens.

Now, to Nairalanders, what do you think we can do to change our behavior and make this strive for flashy lifestyle that breed corruption among us ends? Remember, when the citizen change, it spread to the leadership sphere. I need intelligent contributions.

Only the laws of the land can change it but our judiciary is more fuçked

Imagine someone that stole 90 billion was arrested and released 2 weeks later, in a sane clime, he will be sentenced or stoned to death

It still goes to the foundation of contended. How can we start the contended and good citizens revolution?

The average northerner is more contented with what he has, apart from Thier political class. He accepts everything as the will of Allah.
