Because from a logical point of view the founder of Christianity is also an extremist that's why he could say to all those old enough to be his grandpa who has been worshiping in the temple where he was dedicated as a baby, he said:

“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" John 14:6

Logically nobody can worship God acceptably without what this young man teaches.
