Igbo Leaders Warn Against Swearing-in Tinubu Before Court Judgement
by Igho Oyoyo 4 hours agoReading Time: 2 mins read

Ahead of the May 29, 2023 handover due date, Igbo leaders under the auspices of the Igbo Patriotic Forum have cautioned against the swearing-in of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu before the apex court judgment, saying it might be an invitation to anarchy if done.

The Igbo leaders advised that the judiciary must be allowed to conclude hearing on the presidential election petitions before swearing in a new president of Nigeria.

The forum which made this known yesterday at a press conference presided over by its chairman, Chief Simon Okeke in Abuja, condemned what it called a delayed tactic being employed by the presidential election petitions tribunal.

Okeke said the constitution never said the president must be sworn in on May 29, and the present administration should ensure that the right thing is done by allowing the judiciary to conclude its work before any swearing-in can take place.

Silence is truly the best answer

According to the red cap imbeciless election that was duly declared, a winner must only emerge 180 days after Tribunals

If election holds by March swearing in should take place by September

Nigeria should have leadership vacuum from May29 to September when tribunals are over

Tinubu should as a matter of urgency upon resumption of office upgrade our medical facilities to cater for these people that election defeat has sent to depression, Paranoid personality disorder and Dissociative amnesia.

Must they use 180 days to adjudicate the cases? You're given upto 180 days doesn’t mean you must use it. It is 180days when there was not BVAS and IREV but now you can get these INEC reports within minutes

There is nothing like busy as other civil and criminal cases are usually put on hold. Infact, the faster they conclude the presidential petition, the better so they can focus on other things.

Since Mar 1st INEC declared to May 29 is 3months...they could have made a judgement in 3 months..Kenya used 2 weeks!.

Even you know it was a fraudulent election and Tinubu will be removed; nothing will happen

Be sharp na. They are in court challenging INEC fraudulent results but you're still holding to that narrative. INEC did not announce polling units results...get that into your head. You saw what Adamawa REC did, thats what they did during the presidential election

They are in court challenging Tinubu's eligibility based on frivolity like 30 years old indictment by FBI, and other silly grounds
