Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have arrived in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, for a 10-day camping programme ahead of this year’s FIFA U20 World Cup finals.

This was made known in a video shared on the Nigeria Football Federation Instagram page on Monday.

The video was captioned, “The Flying Eagles have arrived in Argentina for the #FIFAU20WorldCup and were well received by the Nigerian community in Buenos Aires.

“They are in Group D of the tournament alongside Brazil, Italy and Dominican Republic.”

Nigeria has been slotted in Group D for this year’s championship and will play the Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil in that order in the group phase.

Their first two games will hold in Mendoza, in the far west of Argentina, against the Dominican Republic on 21 May and against Italy on 24 May, before they fly to La Plata to play Brazil on 27 May.

I was fortunate to be in the gathering of the women's under 20 some weeks ago. That was where I heard about David Mark's unfortunate corruption involvement in the system.

He instructed the coaching team and management to feature "children with envelope".

He encouraged big time corruption. A girl flew all the way from Australia to represent Nigeria. Girl wey never smell Naija before. That was how they relegated the better footballers they could have taken to the world cup in Russia. Well, they lost in India to one country like that and that was how they were out.
