For the second time, the president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu on 10/05/2023 Wednesday afternoon left Nigeria for Europe on a working visit.

The purpose of his travel, according to report from his office, Bola Ahmed Tinubu intends to utilize his current trip abroad to set his transition plans and programs, as well as policy options, with some of his key aides. The aim is to avoid unnecessary pressures and distractions. During this visit, the President-elect plans to engage with investors and allies to promote investment opportunities in the country. He seeks to create a business-friendly climate through policies and regulations.

Meetings have been lined up with multi-sectoral actors in Europe's business community, including manufacturing, agriculture, tech, and energy. Bola Ahmed Tinubu hopes to convince them of Nigeria's readiness to do business under his leadership through mutually beneficial partnerships, which would create job opportunities and promote skills acquisition.

Reviving the country's economy forms a significant part of Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda. This visit is part of his efforts to re-establish Nigeria's importance in the global economic chain and create empowering opportunities for the country's huge youth population. Tinubu has promised to hit the ground running, and this visit reflects his commitment to that promise, as he has already begun talks with global actors in the critical areas of the economy and security.

Before leaving the country, Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the All Progressives Congress party-endorsed House of Representatives candidates for Speaker and Deputy Speaker, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Hon. Benjamin Kalu, respectively. They were presented to him by a Joint Task Team of the House. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to return shortly to prepare for his official swearing-in as the 16th President of the country on May 29, 2023.
