To enable Nigeria keep the important position and make way for him to complete his nationally beneficial tenure as an Executive Member of the International Police Organisation, (INTERPOL), President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed the retiring Assistant Inspector General of Police, Garba Baba Umar, as a Senior Security Adviser on International Police Cooperation and Counter-terrorism in the office of the Minister of Police Affairs.

In approving his appointment, President Buhari, in a statement by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, took note of a precedent in which a former Executive Member, AIG Kamal Subair (Rtd) was retained in service by the Federal Government of Nigeria after retirement in 2018.

President Buhari also took note of the fact that during his tenure as a member of the Executive Committee, AIG Umar assisted Nigeria in many ways, with the hope that in the remaining one year, he will even do more in securing equipment for crimes, border management and counter-terrorism for the country and in helping to get more Nigerians into important positions in the INTERPOL.

AIG Umar’s tenure at the INTERPOL ends in November 2024, and his new appointment as Senior Security Adviser takes effect from May 16, 2023.

AND THEN, PROVIDE THE “ONSITE REALTIME AND INSTANT ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES” AT THE POLLING-UNITS FOR THE TECH-SAVVY VOTERS THAT ARE PRESENT AT THE POLLING-UNITS...

WHILE THE TRADITIONAL “BVAS-ACCREDITATION, PAPER-VOTING, INSTANT ONLINE REALTIME ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION-AND-COLLATION OPTION” WOULD STILL BE VERY MUCH AVAILABLE FOR THOSE PERSONS WHO STILL PREFER TO VOTE WITH THE BALLOT PAPERS..

In business, they say don't partner with family and friends.

This is because it's hard to hold them accountable. You can fight a stranger for stealing from you, picking an item on credit and not paying on time.

But when a family member does the same thing, you treat them leniently, sometimes even letting them go scot-free.

Buhari couldn't fight his friends and family yet he keeps putting them in high positions.

And when they steal or do bad, he treats them leniently and even letting them go scot-free.

Buhari should stop any appointment or borrowing now, he should leave everything for the incoming brilliant administration.

If na you, will you appoint others? Some of you can't even put things together to know why someone is doing what he is doing. Are you aware that Buhari was ones sent out of office by coup, and you think he will let same or anything similar to it to happen again? The man has few days to go and tension is high at the moment, he need the most trusted person at this moment to sail through successfully and he alone can tell who that most trusted person is not you or any other person.
