Truth can be bitter. Isn't it? And the bitter truth here is that every regulatory body has power to penalize or fine any erring organisation under it without seeking court's permission to do so! So NBC O! FRSC O! CBN O! SEC O! etc. are all empowered by law to sanction, penalize and fine any erring organisation under them. Otherwise the regulatory body has no justification for its existence. It is the erring organisation that has to go to court if it feels it has been unfairly treated.

Now, the information ministry is telling us that we now have two conflicting court cases on this matter since there is a previous judgement in favour of NBC which has not been set aside by a higher court and according to the 'convention of law' a party can choose which of the court order to obey. Lawyers in the house should confirm to us if the information ministry is right or not.

Lastly, i must admit that NBC has been abusing its powers recently. But does that justify the recent court judgement against it?

NBC AND INEC ARE EXEMPLARY SUPERVISING COMMISSIONS.
CBN IS DISGUSTING AND THIEVERY. EMEFIELE SHOULD BE SACKED AND PROSECUTED.

NBC would not stop TV stations from showing shitty music videos with scenes of nudity but they want to silence people who are saying the truth

The N.B.C is a regulator and regulators can and will impose fines, there is nowhere in the world where there is free speech, infact all rights are limited, the court that ruled in favor of the broadcasters erred seriously in saying that N.B.C can't impose fines, what the court should have done is to warn N.B.C against witch-hunting.

Actually with this statement coming from a government official, Nigeria has turned to a banana republic. How can a public officer says this, is our courts not part of the government, if this man formulate any policy or any executive them, who will counter them and say it is impossible to formulate or implement it if it is within what our laws permit. The same government that can't abide by law will now want citizens to be law abiding not to take law into their hands.

And yet, some unfortunate elements voted APC again. PDP no do in 16 years half the nonsense this useless party has done in 8 years. It is insanity that they still have supporters amongst the poor and hopeless in our midst.
Jesus!

I met one yesterday... Looking hopeless and haggard yet tell use APC is the best thing that happened to Nigeria.
