ask any of the robots the simple question - is this the door that leads to death. - there will be only one answer since one tells the truth and one tells a lie. If it is true, one will say yes, if it is not true, he will still say yes - so u beleive it is true.

Its very simple. Ask ROBOT A a question. How many robots r here? If he says 2,you'll know that ROBOT B will lie. So just ask the ROBOT B " is this the room that leads to freedom?". If he says yes, just know its the other room.
Vice versa.

Walk up to any of the robots and ask the following question: "If I asked you which door leads to freedom, where would you point me to?"
Go through the door it points you to!

Lying robot: Will point to the door to freedom (ordinarily he would point to the door of death, but since he lies, he will tell you the opposite of what he would actually have said if you asked him the question "which door leads to freedom?"
Truth-telling robot: Will point you to the door to freedom because that it what it would do if you actually asked the question.

I do not need to explain this anymore, do I? Read my answer again. It does not matter which one of them you ask that question, you will get the same answer. I could give you the mathematical basis for it if you like.

Only one question, the right question, and you will get the right answer regardless of which one you ask.

@Migines, the riddle didnt say u can ask only one question, it says u can ask one robot one question. that is not more that one question for robot A and not more than one for robot B. So since u already know that there are 2 robots in the room, the first logical question to ask any of the robots is "How many robots are here?" The answer to that question tells u which is the lying robot or the truthful one. Then u go ahead and ask the other robot which doors leads to freedom. Just think abt it, u'll see.
