That is Joshua machiver not Tompolos son or God son. stop saying rubbish .

He picked this guy because he came from the biggest local government in the state.and he is also popular in the state and in that region

Stop the misinformation. Yes, Sylva has picked Joshua Maciver as his running mate. Joshua Maciver, however, isn't Tompolo's son. He's just one of his strongest allies in Bayelsa State.

And for those who wished it was Lyon, instead of Sylva, that won the APC ticket and who believed that he's the best of grassroots men there; well, he's not a better grassroots man than Joshua Maciver. In fact, his success in the 2019 election was largely due to the support he got from Joshua Maciver. Both of them are from the same kingdom and LGA in general.

Joshua Maciver defected to APC in 2019 after losing the PDP governorship ticket, just as he lost the APC ticket to Sylvia now, and teamed up with Lyon then.

In summary, Sylvia made a smart move by picking him as his running mate because in so doing he's pacified Lyon and the Southern Ijaw LGA in general.
